--WHEN JOB first uttered his assurance in his Redeemer, he was in sore need of comfort. All of his children had been killed. Much of his once thriving property had been destroyed. Sickness rendered him pain-stricken and isolated. His household, his friends, and even his own wife ostracized him. When all else was lost, JOB clung to his one certain consolation, that his merciful God would redeem him and restore him to dwell in His loving presence forever.

When we feel as though the trials of this life will crush us, we can rest in the same promise JOB did. Yet we have even greater solace than JOB had, for we know our Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ, and all that He has accomplished for us. We know that He carried our load on His back and suffered under it on the Cross. We know that He buried it in the grave. We know that our Redeemer lives! He rose again and stands victorious for us. Just as He in His glorified body rose again, so, too, shall our Lord raise us up, so that in our flesh we shall live with Him in glory everlasting. ~~

"Living Redeemer, preserve me in faith until that joyful day when in my flesh I shall see You. 'Even so, Come Lord Jesus.'~~amen~
