My dizziness just came on all of a sudden. One day I was fine, the next I wasn't. My head feels like it is floating ALL the time and I have major pressure in my eyes and in my cheeks just under my eyes. I feel like the world just doesn’t look the same through my eyes, kinda like I am high or something (and no I don’t do drugs or drink) I feel like junk 24/7 and I’m only 26. Work and driving have turned into difficult tasks. I’ve been to the doctor 8 times. My 1st doctor’s visit was on August 16, 2005 so almost a year ago. I have had my blood pressure checked, blood sample taken, an EKG was done. I have been to an ears nose and throat doctor. I’ve had a hearing test done. I was tested for vertigo. Went the chiropractor and the eye doctor. EVERYTHING was normal. I got a referral by a nerologist to get a CT scan but by the time they could schedule me my insurance ran out because I was moving and had to quit my job. I have been racking my brain to figure out what could have brought this on and then I thought that it might have had something to do with the root canal I had done on June 2, 2005. I have 5 amalgam fillings in my molars on the right side of my mouth and the root canal was done on one of those molors. He used something to catch the filling as he was drilling but nothing to prevent the vapor. Also I realized later that I could’t afford to put a crown on it so he just temporarily filled it and I get food stuck between that tooth and the one next to it that also has a amalgam filling. It will be a year come August since I have been feeling like this and am at a breaking point. HELP! What is the best method for testing since none of my doctors seem to believe anything I have to say? I recently went back to the doctor now that I have insurance again and he thinks I have depression. Of course I probably have depression NOW since I have been feeling like crap the last year. I cry at least every other day because I just can’t stand to feel like this any longer. Before all this started I was quiet healthy, active and happy! HELP! HELP! HELP! PLEEEEEASE! HELP! Thanks in advance!

I remember my "brain fog" came on suddenly like u described. Definately mercury related, possibly candida as well. I think its because finally our livers cannot put up with the toxic burden of the amount of mercury in our body and blood so higher levels are allowed to enter the brain. This is just a theory i came up with in relation to my own condition, as while the brain fog came on I was taking a drug called accutane which is used to clear up acne, but which very heavily affects the liver. Copper also mayb a problem for you like it was for me.
I know the feeling though, you feel detached from the world, things look different and you develop very scarey thought patterns, as well as the dizziness! Not good at all... I had panic attacks on top of that, which made everything so much harder. You will come out of the mental state you are in, believe me, with the removal of your fillings and the right chelation and detox process you will recover.

Thank you so much for your quick replies! I really think I have finally found the answer to what has been taking over my body and life for the past year. The information has been very helpful. One more question, the symptoms I have been experiencing didn't show up until about 1/12 months to 2 months after the root canal. Is that normal? Do symptoms usally show up right away or do they take a while to surface? Also what is the best method of testing for levels of mercury in your body. I heard it doesn't show up in blood tests very often and it will only show up in the hair test during the first stages. Thanks again!

Hi, you're very welcome. Yeah, root canals are very bad, as are cavitations (I have cavitations). Both produce potent toxic bacteria. They're not much better than mercury, as bad, if not worse so I've heard.
Yes, it can take a while before symptoms begin to surface. That's my experience too. Not always right away.
Testing for mercury can be really difficult. Very high levels can mean a person is poisoned but their body is able to excrete it, so it shows up in the hair etc. Very low levels might mean a person is not toxic, or it might mean they are retaining the mercury and not eliminating it, so it remains somehow locked in the tissues etc (which is the worst case senario). Or it can mean a person does actually have a low levels but they are intolerant even to that very low level.
so it's very hard. The best way to tell if you have a mercury toxic condition, is to have a hair analysis test and then you can look at the mineral levels and see how disordered they are. sometimes there is a particular pattern of how mercury disturbs certain minerals in the body and this can be highly indicative. I do not know how to read the levels, but some of the people on the website link I sent you do.
You'll find the information on the website with the testing methods also.

Hey, sorry I didn't give you the particular website I was referring to that has info on mercury testing. It is called http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/frequent-dose-chelation/On this website, you'll find people are chelating the mercury out of their bodies using the safest possible protocol. However, you won't want to start doing that until you have the amalgams removed out of your teeth. That website will have all the information on testing for mercury, how to detox it safely out of the body and where to get the things you will want or need.

Not that I am glad you have been having this problem but almost relieved that I am not the only one. Yes, I have major sinus pressure especially behind and under my eyes. I don’t feel like I have fluid in my ears but I do get twitching, especially in my eyes an arms. How long ago did you get your amalgams removed? How long did it take you to start feeling a difference in your health? I am going to get these things out of my mouth as soon as I can!!! I live in Hawaii so that poses a problem because I don’t really trust any doctors/dentists out here (just bad experiences). =o) -Jennelle

I had something that sounds very similar; a thick feeling in the head like a hangover, dizziness, blurry vision and general lethargy (my sex life suffered as well). This went on for about three months non-stop. It was hell, I couldn't work or do anything. The doctors I saw here in the UK were pretty dismissive and prescribed antibiotics, recommended lowering stress levels etc. The usual mindless, ignorant and unhelpful stuff you come to expect here. However, after some investigation I started to suspect mercury. I had started losing weight after turning vegetarian and I had the idea that the mercury leeched from my fillings and stored in my fat - along with other toxic gunk - might be getting dumped back into my blood. Anyway, a holistic dentist suggested taking a gram or two of vitamin C powder twice a day to see if it might help. It worked wonders! Within a day or two my head was *completely* back to normal and the symptoms stopped. So you might want to try some vitamin C powder as a first step. Hope this helps and good luck.

Hi, I know the dizzyness has to do with the mercury. Whenever I would chew on anything really crunchy -I"d get dizzy spells afterwards-where i'd have to hold onto a table so I wouldnt fall.
WHen I was a kid, i'd get dizzy spells and feel spaced out after each tooth filling from the dentist's office.
Im sure if my mother had taken me to a doctor over it, they wouldnt be able to find any reason for it.

I get SERIOUS dizziness if I consume any nitrate products (even small amounts found in certain bottled waters). Try cutting out all nitrates (i.e. stop eating all vegetables, packaged meats, and drink only Aquafina water - it is very low in nitrates). Is there liquid build up in your ears?

A couple of times since having a root canal I have woken with dizziness so bad that the room was spinning and I couldn't focus at all. It was really scary. The doctor said I have labyrinthitis and can give me medication for it, but no cure. I don't know what was cause of it, whether mercury or not, but it was awful.

It will be 2 years this august that I've been ill.....But it took the first year to figure out that I had high mercury...So, I started with filling removal and chelation last September and just finished chelation last March(my levels are zero now, as per provoked urine tests)...I still feel ill...chronic dizziness, twitching, weakness.....but I think it takes time to recover afterwards...I have seen 2 different ENT DR. they cannot see any fluid in my ears....I can feel it though...weird...My dizziness is constant...all day...everyday....very off balance...had to quit my job......Sandra P

HI, HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF A PROCEDURE CALLED CANALITH REPOSITIONING PROCEDURE. I HAD SEVERE DIZZINESS FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS WHEN I CAME ACROSS A CHIROPRACTOR WHO WAS TRAINED IN THIS PROCEDURE. AFTER THE FIRST TREATMENT I WAS GOOD COULDNT BELIEVE IT. ITS A NON INVASIVE PROCEDURE. ITS A SERIES OF MANEUVERS THAT MOVES PARTICLES FROM THE POSTERIOR SEMICIRCULAR CANAL INTO THE UTRICLE. WORKS. GOOD LUCK

I have already been to an ears nose and throat doctor and he said I do not have vertigo but I also went to a chiropractor too about 10 visits worth using that treatment with no luck. I am at the end of my rapidly fraying rope and can only hope that taking my amalgams out and detoxing will help me. Thank you for the advise though, it's much appreciated! =o)
