---PERSISTENT PRAYER ~~

----[Luke 18:1, 7 (NIV®) ]
-"Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. . . . “Will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night?”

---We know we should pray, yet prayer is lacking in many of our lives. There are a host of reasons why that is, but a significant one is that we have the notion that we should receive an immediate supernatural response; when that doesn’t happen, we withdraw from prayer. In Luke 18:1-8, Jesus tells the parable of the woman who was so persistent in her pleas for justice that the judge granted her request just to get her out of his court. It is obvious that crying out to God day and night is a good thing, so why would we think that our requests should be “one and done”? Effective prayer is like any other skill: It requires time, intentionality, a willingness to fail and learn from what we don’t know, and repetition. Let’s commit ourselves to a new attitude toward prayer, one that will help us grow and deepen our relationship and our conversations with the Lord.

**THINK ABOUT IT**
Have you ever doubted the effectiveness of your prayers? Consider Jesus’ words and let faith grow in your heart. Decide to seek the Lord in prayer and not give up.

PRAYER
--"Heavenly Father, help me to pray with expectation and perseverance. Teach me Your promises in Scripture; they are the substance of my confidence in prayer. Unite me with Your people with whom I can grow in prayer to honor You. All glory to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, AMEN! [There Three= ONE]
