---“You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.” --(JOHN 4:22/ NIV)
----God chose the Jewish people for a unique purpose. Through them we have the Scriptures, the prophets, the Law, and the Messiah. It’s through the Jewish people that the redemptive purposes of God have been revealed. The salvation for all of humanity was delivered through the Jewish people. Today, seated at the right hand of God the Father is the man Jesus Christ—the Savior of the world, and a Jewish rabbi. The Creator of all things did not call for a vote or take a poll on the best path to provide a way of salvation and accomplish His purposes in the earth. We are indebted to the Jewish people for our heritage of faith. Some struggle with acknowledging that the roots of Christianity lie firmly within Judaism, but it is a fact that cannot be disputed. Let’s commit ourselves to praying that God will shine His light on the path that He has set before His Church and the Jewish people.
**THINK ABOUT IT **Do you have a regular routine of praying for the Church and the Jewish people? If not, how about starting today? Let us pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
**PRAYER Heavenly Father, I “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.’ For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, ‘Peace be within you.’” (Psalm 122:6-8, NIV®). In Jesus’ name, amen. **Blessings, **Pastor Allen Jackson~~ ---"Shalom Jerusalem"/ Paul Wilbur ~
