---WORRY, WORRY, WORRY~~

"Casting all your
anxieties on Him,
because He cares
for you."~~
--(1 Peter 5:7)--

--WE ALL WORRY. We worry about so many things. Some of our worries focus on what hasn't even happened. We worry about that which cannot be changed. Our problem becomes worse when we know that God does not want us to worry as today's reading from Matthew makes clear. We realize that worry never solves problems and is detrimental to our health and hinders relationships--and then we worry about worrying!

Peter encourages us to throw all of our worries upon Jesus. The reason Peter gives as God's solution to our problem of worry is that God cares for us! His care for us showed itself when Jesus died on Calvary and then rose to deliver us from all our sins.

-"Come to Me, all who are labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Jesus speaks these words and invites all people, including you and me, to come to Him with their problems. He knows all of us have real or imagined problems, and we worry about them. Our Savior invites us to come to Him, the Great Physician of both body and soul, and to cast our anxieties on Him.~~
