Congress, Vote to Audit the Fed!
 

On January 3, 2019, Representative Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) reintroduced his bill to audit the Federal Reserve, entitled the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2019 (H.R. 24). 

"The American public deserves more insight into the practices of the Federal Reserve," Rep. Massie has previously stated. "Behind closed doors, the Fed crafts monetary policy that will continue to devalue our currency, slow economic growth, and make life harder for the poor and middle class. It is time to force the Federal Reserve to operate by the same standards of transparency and accountability to the taxpayers that we should demand of all government agencies."

The customary reason advanced by Fed personnel and some members of Congress for refusing to support an audit is that the Fed must remain "independent." However, if the American people knew what the Fed has been doing for 100 years, there would be moves to abolish it.  The dollar was worth 100 cents when the Fed was launched in 1913 and its worth today is only four cents. The Fed not only conducts bailouts for big U.S. banks and industries; it has bailed out foreign banks as well. The Fed is paving the way for internationalism at the expense of national independence.


Phone your Representative (202-225-3121) and two U.S. Senators (202-224-3121) and ask them co-sponsor and vote to pass H.R. 24 in the House of Representative and to introduce an identical companion bill in the Senate in order to authorize a real audit of the secretive Federal Reserve System.
