---SLIP OF THE TONGUE ~~
“I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.” --(Matthew 12:36 NIV) -- --My chainsaw is a wonderful tool, and I appreciate how quickly it can help me finish a task. But I’m always conscious that as much potential as it has for speed and efficiency, it also has enormous potential for harm and destruction. In a careless moment I can do something that can’t be reversed, something that could change my future or someone else’s. Words are tools that are even more powerful than a chainsaw, and sometimes we are reckless with them.In an unthinking moment we can say something that we can’t unsay. We can say something that can change our future or someone else’s. It is a sobering reality that our careless words are being duly noted and we will have to give an account for them on the day of judgment. Let’s be careful that our words are not careless ones we will be reminded of on that day. **THINK ABOUT ITAre you sometimes careless with your words? How can you use your words to build up rather than destroy? **PRAYER--"Heavenly Father, keep my mouth from speaking worthless, harmful words carelessly with no regard for consequences. Give me prayers and conversations that will build up and not tear down. Give me an awareness of the spiritual consequences before I speak. Let the words of my mouth bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, amen." **Blessings, ***Pastor Allen Jackson **Intend - Allen Jackson Ministries[-Most of us have trouble with our tongues. I know I do. The Bible tells us "The tongue is an unruly evil." We must constantly watch our words. (1 John 1 verse 9) "If we confess our sins , He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Let's try to keep short accounts, repent, and move on.] ---"Let My Words Be Few" / Matt Redman ~~ < https://youtu.be/CqIA_l2ypkE> -----
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." [John 14:6]
