"Great peace have those who love Your law; nothing can make them stumble." --(Psalm 119:165)--
---We all know the torment of a guilty conscience. When we think of how frequently we sin against God, we may shudder to think of the consequences we ought to face. As guilt grips tighter, our burning desire is to find peace with Him, knowing that unless we do we must suffer the unending punishment we deserve.
The great peace lauded by the Psalmist may appear hopelessly elusive when our consciences struggle. Is the kind of peace that removes our nagging feelings of guilt actually possible, we wonder? Yes, it is. We have peace with God when we know the Prince of Peace, who came down from Heaven to fulfill all of the Father's demands for putting us right with Him. When we receive the cleansing of our hearts and consciences through faith in Jesus, who suffered and rose for us, we enjoy peace, His peace that passes all human comprehension. ~~
