Andy Cutler recommends taking a combination T3/T4 med like Armour rather than T4 only like Synthroid or Levoythyroxine, as most mercury toxic people have problems converting the T4 to T3. T3 is the active form of thyroid hormone which keeps the metabolism going and makes us feel good. It is possible to be on T4 only meds and still be hypothyroid. I know I was.
