---AN UNEXPECTED TIMING~~

--We are eternal creatures, and we look forward to our glorious future in heaven. But for now we are participants in time, and much of our emotional energy is invested in what happens here, especially the things that we expect to happen during certain seasons of life. We can become almost enslaved to the timelines of our lives.

We get upset with God when our story isn’t matching those of our peer group, when milestones such as education, career, family, and finances are not met like we thought they would be. Scripture tells us that God’s timing is not like ours, and He is the One who is writing the story of our lives. He has a plan and purposes for you and is sovereign over all things, so don’t allow the calendar to dictate your imagination of what He can do.

--"Heavenly Father, my times are in Your hands, and You are the stability of my days. Give me grace to steadfastly trust Your timing in my life and to never lose confidence in Your faithfulness to fulfill Your purposes for me. In Jesus’ name, amen."
