---THE KING'S CROWN HAS BECOME OUR CROWN OF LIFE!

--'They...twisted
together a crown
of thorns and set it
on His head.'

--There are many people and religions that teach there are many ways to the Cross, the only way to Heaven. That is totally false. According to Jesus, He said, "Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness for sin." ~ "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." [JOHN 14:6]

"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." ALL OF US ARE SINNERS. So how are we going to get into Heaven? The Good News is that Jesus has paid our sin-debt by dying on the Cross. Jesus freed us by dying 'for' us!

The crown of thorns that Jesus was made to wear was part of a cruel game the Roman soldiers played before He was crucified. They also dressed Him in a royal robe and gave Him a staff as a king's scepter, which they then used to beat Him. They mocked Him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!" (Matthew 27 verse 29), not realizing that their actions would be remembered thousands of years later. This was no ordinary king. He was the King of kings whose death, followed by His resurrection, gives us eternal life.

On Easter morning, we celebrate the gift of forgiveness and new life found only in accepting Jesus's 'free gift'. It wasn't free for Jesus. He had to die a cruel and brutal death to pay for your and my sins. He knew there was no other way for us to be saved from the wrath that is to come. Jesus willingly died so we can live eternally with Him. By way of the Cross, we are saved from hell.

-God has erased our sins and given us freedom and life forever in Him! We must accept His gift, believe that Jesus died for us, and confess and repent of our sins. He knows our hearts and our thoughts. He is the Creator of the entire Universe.

Won't you come to Jesus and know for certainty that you will live forever? He leaves that choice up to each individual. No one else can receive this gift for you. Do it today.
--Say a prayer like this, "Jesus, I confess and repent of my sins against You. Please accept my forgiveness and receive me into your Kingdom. As you told the man on the Cross, Barabbas "Today you will be with Me in Paradise." Jesus loves you so much that He died for you. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." Don't wait another day. You may not be here tomorrow. --'Loving My Jesus'/ By Casting Crowns <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZimWvoEnrU>
