Dr. G. Campbell Morgan, the great preacher of a century ago, once gave a compelling sermon about how believers in Christ should bring every request before God. After the service, an elderly woman walked up to him and asked, "Dr. Morgan, should I really bring my every little request to God? Doesn't He have so much more to be concerned about than my littler request?"

G. Campbell Morgan looked at the lady with a gleam in his eye and said, "Madam, can you conceive of anything that's not small to God?"

Well, the obvious answer is that there is nothing that's not small to God. Your problems in life, be they a hurt toe or deep anxiety, are well within His control and worthy of being brought before Him. Why? Because God loves you and whatever concerns you also concerns Him if you're walking in His will.

Don't ever think God is too big to hear your little requests. Yes, He's the Lord of Creation, but He's also an intimate friend. Take your requests to Him and trust He'll work every single one of them out for your good and His glory.

-I was traveling with some men when we spotted a family stranded alongside the road. My friends immediately pulled over to help. They got the car running, talked with the father and mother of the family, and gave them some money for gasoline. When the mother thanked them over and over, they replied, "We're glad to help out, and we do it in Jesus' Name." As we drove away, I thought how natural it was for these friends to help people in need and acknowledge the Lord as the source of their generosity.

Peter and John exhibited joyful generosity when they healed a lame man who was begging outside the temple in Jerusalem (Acts 3:1-10). This led to their arrest and appearance before the authorities who asked, "By what power or by what name have you done this?" Peter replied, "If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man...let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole" (Acts 4:7-10).

Kindness is a fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22) and a powerful context in which to genuinely speak to others about the Lord.

-Music plays a big part in the Bible. From Genesis to Revelation, God enlists musicians to work on His behalf. He uses music to call people to worship and to send them to war, to soothe ragged emotions and to ignite spiritual passion, to celebrate victories and to mourn losses. Music is an all-occasion, all-inclusive art form. There are followers and leaders, simple songs and complex songs, easy instruments and difficult instruments, melodies and harmonies, fast Rhythms and slow rhythms, high notes and low notes.

Music is a wonderful metaphor for the Church because everyone participates by doing what he or she does best. We all sing or play different notes at different times, but we all perform the same song. The better we know our parts, and the better we follow the conductor, the more beautiful the music.

One of the best uses for music is praise. When Solomon's temple was completed, the musicians praised and thanked God. As they did, "the glory of the Lord filled the house of God" (2 Chronicles 5:14).

We thank God for beautiful music, for it's like a preview of Heaven, where the glory of God will dwell forever and where praise for Him will never cease.~~

-YOUNG SAMUEL in the temple must have wondered what he was hearing as he struggled out of sleep at the summons of his name (1 SAM. 3:4). Three times he presented himself before Eli, the high priest. Only the third time did Eli realize it was the Lord speaking to Samuel. The word of the LORD had been rare at that time (V.1), and the people were not in tune with His voice. But Eli instructed Samuel how to respond (V.9).

The Lord speaks much more now than in the days of Samuel. The letter to the Hebrews tells us, "In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets..but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son" (1:1-12). And in Acts 2 we read of the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost (VV. 1-4), who guides us in the things Christ taught us (JOHN 16:13). But we need to learn to hear His voice and respond in obedience. As His children we do hear His voice. He loves to speak life unto us. We 'see' and 'hear' Him in all Creation. ~~

Our Creator speaks to us in all of Creation. Go outside and look at all the majestic splendor of our Lord. PSALM 19 tells us, "The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard.
Their sound has gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world." --[PSALM 19: 1-4]

--ANSWERED PRAYER: OUR ASSURANCE~~
----(Please Read/ John 16:23-27)

Are you confident that the Lord will hear and answer your prayers? One of the reasons we may struggle with doubts is because we don’t realize all that God has done to make it possible for us to bring our requests before Him.

**Association. Our sin once separated us from God, but Christ gave His life on the cross as payment of the penalty we owed. At the moment of our salvation, we enter into an intimate association with God the Father through His Son.

**Access. With our new relationship comes access to the throne of grace, where we can boldly and confidently bring our concerns to God.

**Authority. In the Gospels, the Lord’s prayers always carried the power of His divine position. Now, because of our association with Him through salvation, Jesus Christ has given us the privilege of praying in His name according to His power and authority.

**Agreement. But prayer offered in Jesus’ name should always be in agreement with what He would ask. In other words, our requests must align with the character of God and the content of His Word. It does no good to tack “in Jesus’ name” on a petition for something outside His will.

**Assurance. When Jesus told His disciples He would answer requests offered in His name, He was saying that we can pray with assurance because of our association and agreement with Him.

--When we’re uncertain whether our requests are in accordance with what Jesus would ask, we can take comfort in knowing that Christ is seated at the Father’s right hand, always interceding for us according to God’s will.

---THE POWER OF LOVE~~

--The limitations of the English language at times diminish our understanding of scriptural concepts.
For instance, there is only one word for love in English, but the New Testament uses two different Greek words. One of them, 'phileo', refers to brotherly concern and affection, but the more powerful term 'agape' signifies a sacrificial commitment to another’s satisfaction, security, and development. This is the kind of love that God has for us—and that the Holy Spirit produces in and through believers.

Perhaps the best way to understand 'agape' is to see what it looks like. In His parable of the prodigal son, Jesus describes a father’s sacrificial love for his wayward son. When the young man demanded an early inheritance, the father didn’t deny his request, though he knew it would lead only to bitterness. So despite personal and financial sacrifice, he gave the son his share. Then the father waited patiently while the prodigal learned a difficult lesson.

No doubt that was a trying time for the father because a good dad wants to protect his children from mistakes and the resulting consequences. But a wise man also knows that some hard truths must be learned through painful experience. At times the best thing we can do is trust the Lord to reach defiant hearts.

-But 'agape' love doesn’t just let go; it also forgives and restores. When the prodigal son returned home humbled and contrite, his father reached out to receive him and restore him to the family—just like our heavenly Father does for us.
