Blood of Christ ~
~~
Jeffrey Ebert shares this story:

When I was five years old, before factory-installed seat belts and automobile air bags, my family was driving home at night on a two-lane country road. I was sitting on my mother's lap when another car, driven by a drunk driver, swerved into our lane and hit us head-on. I don't have any memory of the collision. I do recall the fear and confusion I felt as I saw myself literally covered with blood from head to toe.

Then I learned that the blood wasn't mine at all, but my mother's. In that split second when the two headlights glared into her eyes, she instictively pulled me closer to her chest and curled her body around mine. It was her body that slammed against the dashboard, her head that shattered the windshield. She took the impact of the collision so that I wouldn't have to. It took extensive surgery for my mother to recover from her injuries.

'In a similar, but infinitely more significant way, Jesus Christ took the impact for our sin, and his blood now permanently covers our lives.'

---THE REWARD OF THE BELIEVER~~
--(Please Read/ 1 Corinthians 3:6-15)

-Our God-given purpose is to glorify our heavenly Father. Ephesians 2:10 sheds light on the means by which we accomplish this: “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works.”

As believers, we are responsible to do God’s work. One day, we will stand before the judgment seat of Christ and be held accountable for our service. “Judgment” can be a daunting term. Remember, though, that Jesus redeemed us by His death and resurrection and paid the penalty for our sins. He took our punishment, and we no longer face condemnation (Rom. 8:1). Christ’s judgment for Christians determines His rewards for each believer.

During this evaluation, God will test our actions. Today’s Scripture passage likens this to proving the quality of a substance through fire (1 Corinthians 3:12-15). Once the fire burns away impure motives and worthless tasks, the Lord will give recompense for that which remains.

From the outside, we may look as if we’re living obediently, striving to honor Jesus. So many tasks appear selfless and honorable, yet underneath the noble appearance, there can be ungodly motives. We often deceive even ourselves about the reason for our actions. Since our desire should be to please Christ, we can ask Him to purify and change our hearts. Repent of your sins and ask Jesus to forgive you. He never turns away a sincere seeker.

--Consider your actions over the past few days. How much time and energy did you spend serving Christ for His glory? This can include any area of involvement—not just efforts related to church. Ask God to reveal whatever is driven by a selfish motive and needs to be brought under His authority.
**--IN TOUCH~~**
[ We are on this earth primarily to lead others to Christ. When He died on the Cross, he did it for you and me. What can wash away my sins? 'Nothing But the Blood of Jesus.'
"Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins." This verse, from the old Testament, tells us that all the past sins of people were paid for by a sacrifice of a perfect lamb without blemish. If there was no lamb, some needed to bring a turtle dove.

Nonetheless, Jesus Christ paid our sin debt by dying a terrible brutal death on the Cross. We must be born-again, and accept His 'free gift' in order to be assured of Heaven when we die. (Read John 3:3-8)
Are you sure, beyond any shadow of a doubt where you will spend eternity? Please, do not let another day pass without repenting of your sins, confessing your need for Jesus' forgiveness, and His acceptance of your prayer, to take you to Heaven when you pass on from this earth. Life is brief. Please make sure today. We are not promised tomorrow.
Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." -(JOHN 14:6) Come to the Father today, He is waiting.~~]--'ALL MY TEARS' / By: Selah & Kim Hill ~~
