---Prayer for All Men“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men.” (1 Timothy 2:1) ------ The book of 1 Timothy consists of various charges (1:18-19) to Paul’s disciple Timothy. The first charge (2:1-8) concerns prayer in the church. The fact that Paul mentions it “first of all” (v. 1) indicates that he felt it of primary importance. Note the four types of prayer in our text verse. Supplications, or perhaps 'petitions', referring to one’s personal needs: We must recognize our continued dependence on God’s provision. “The effectual fervent prayer [same word] of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16). Prayers: This is a general term with a number of applications, but foremost it indicates reverence for and worship of the one to whom the prayers are offered. “I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting” (1 Timothy 2:8). Intercessions: This word implies a personal bequest on an intimate basis, as child to father. The only other occurrence of the word regards the eating of food that “is sanctified by the word of God and prayer” (1 Timothy 4:5). Giving of thanks: When we give thanks, we recognize that our blessings are undeserved. “Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever” (Revelation 7:12). These types of prayers, which should probably be understood as representing all types of prayers, should be made “for all men,” specifically those in authority (v. 2) and for the unsaved (v. 4). Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will present our prayers to the Father (v. 5) and insure that He will answer them as He sees best.--ICR/ JDM

--- / Pray—First and Most
Let’s pray—first! Traveling to help the hungry? Be sure to bathe your mission in prayer. Weary of a world of racism and division? So is God. And he would love to talk with you about it.Let’s pray—most! Did God call us to preach without ceasing? Or teach without ceasing? Or have committee meetings without ceasing? Or sing without ceasing? No, but he did call us to “pray without ceasing” (I Thessalonians 5:17).Did Jesus declare…my house shall be called a house of study? Fellowship? Music? A house of activities? No, but he did say “My house will be called a house of prayer” (Mark 11:17). Jesus said, “When two of you get together on anything and make a prayer of it, my Father in heaven goes into action” (Matthew 18:19). ---So, Pray! Pray first and pray most!--God is With You Everyday/ML ~~[Yes, the Lord Jehovah always hears our prayers. And He always answers in his time and as he knows is the best choice. We must pray and leave the results to God. Prayer need not be a 'chore'. Pray as you go about your day. Tell God how much you love Him. Ask him to heal the sick. Ask him to please, "Come quickly, as we see the day approaching for His return. lead us to know others that need encouragement. Ask Him to bring others to salvation only found in His Name, Jehovah Yahweh, YHWH. Thank You, Lord Jesus." " --[Hebrews 10:19-25]

----- 'A DECLARATION OF TRUTH' ~~
As our high priest, Jesus offers our prayers to God. His prayers are always heard. John 16:23 says, “Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you.”
The phrase, “In Jesus’ name” is not an empty motto or talisman. It is a declaration of truth! Cancer is not in charge, Jesus is. The grumpy neighbor doesn’t rule the world— Jesus, you do! Just speak the word, Jesus! Since God works, prayer works. Since you matter to God, your prayers matter in heaven. You are never without hope, because you’re never without prayer. And on the occasions you can’t find the words to say, pull out this pocket prayer. -"Father, you are good. I need help. Heal me and forgive me. Forgive our Leaders for not obeying Your Word, the Holy Bible. We need You, our Rock and Redeemer. They need help. Thank you for leading and guiding our governing officials. You are Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Immutable. Please, help us to 'do what is right in Your eyes.' Thank You, we praise You and bless You, our Maker, LORD, Savior, and Redeemer, Jesus Christ.' ~~ In Christ Jesus’ name, amen!" --From: 'Before Amen'/Max Lucado

--EFFECTIVE PRAYER FOR OTHERS~~ -(Please Read/ Colossians 1:11-12)
-One of the disciples saw Jesus praying and made the request, “Lord, teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1). If Christ’s close associates needed instruction, then surely we, too, must learn about prayer. Thankfully, there are many examples in Scripture for us to follow.Paul’s first-century requests for the people of Colossae are not only still applicable; they’re also instructive in terms of types of petitions to make on behalf of others. For instance, Paul prayed that these people would know God (Col. 1:10). In other words, he wanted them to grow in the Lord and not stagnate in their faith. This transformation takes place by studying the Word, applying biblical principles, and heeding the consequences of obedience. Another plea was for the Colossians to experience God’s power (v. 11). The apostle wanted them to have the Lord’s supernatural energy and the strength they’d need to carry out His will. What is impossible by man’s effort becomes possible when believers rely on God. Then the glory rightly goes to Him. Finally, Paul asked that they would give thanks joyously (vv. 11-12). This indicates the apostle’s hope that they would exhibit the proper attitude, expressing gratefulness even during difficult situations. -In church, we often hear people asking for prayer. And many believers make a prayer list so they don’t forget to intercede for certain individuals during the week. Using Paul’s example, we can be confident that we are praying for those on our list in a manner that pleases the Lord and aligns with His will. --IN TOUCH~~
