If you were not getting many of the CAFR1 posts, I just found out why.
A large percentage of National Post sends to subscribers were "bouncing back" from ISP mail servers such as att.net, centurylink.net, optonline.net, etc.
Tonight I did a test with a subscriber who was using centurylink.net who was not getting the CAFR1 posts. I tried to send him his email address "bounce back" info, and tried 12 times and each time he did not get it. Sent him a simple email and he got it.
So, we then tried several tests to see what the reason was he would not get the post.
After several tests it came down to one thing. If an active link was in the email to my site, CAFR1(dot)com the email was blocked. I note when a Post is blocked and it bounces back, it never reaches the subscriber and in fact, it never even reaches the spam filter of the subscriber. The post sent just bounces back to me.
Over the years I could tell that probably 60% + of the subscribers were not getting the posts sent.
CAFR1 is "not" on any black list; spam list; or even any grey list. All posts should reach the subscribers but they were not.
It appears and was confirmed by me tonight through the tests done that if the email had an active link to my website, CAFR1(dot)com, the email was blocked from reaching the subscriber. (Big Brother at work here in cooperation with several ISP mail handlers)
This also meant that if a subscriber "did" get the post, if they forwarded it to their list, the same would happen where many of those recipients would never see it also. The sender would not know their forward of the Post was getting blocked.
I was able to tell that emails were getting blocked being I use a PHP mailer that records the bounces and reason why. The normal bounce will state: "Blocked due to spam content in the message". The PHP mailer also shows how many emails sent were looked at. On every post, for the last ten or so years only 25% of the subscribers were shown to have actually viewed the post.
By this being done, it greatly reduced the information being sent from being seen.
To be clear here, if the email post had a link to my site CAFR1(dot)com, it was blocked by the ISP mail filters and the recipient if they were using an ISP that was doing this, they would never know the email post was sent to them directly or as a forward.
That is why I am using the (dot) in my website in this communication. By doing so all on the CAFR1 National email list should now get this Post. This type of blocking on email Posts sent is: Big Brother at work per "information management" or should I say information suppression.
Over the years millions of individuals were prevented from knowing about the CAFR1(dot)com site or the work being done there with this blocking technique being utilized by Big Brother across email web traffic in cooperation with the ISP mail handlers that were participating.
What I have decided to do to remedy this circumstance is to create a section on my site linked from the front page that will have archived all CAFR1 National email posts sent over the last 4-years. Any subscriber then can look at the Posts sent by date and subject line and if they were on the CAFR1 National email list, they can now see what was blocked by their ISP so they would never see it. It will take me about a month to get that section up and available.
Again, I did several tests to the subscriber using "four" different email accounts I have, who was not getting the CAFR1 National posts. On every email sent to him, if it had an active link to my website, he did not get it. If I took out the active link to my site, the exact same message and the exact complete content of the message, he then received.
If you were not getting the CAFR1 Posts, I am sorry that this was being done.
Check my site in a month or so and I should have the archives of the posts sent over the last four years up by then.
Truly Yours and sent FYI from,
Walter Burien - CAFR1(dot)com
