--TIME SLIPS BY ~~

"As many as walk according to this rule, (a new creation in Christ), peace and mercy be upon them." [Galatians 6:16]

**As we get older, our vision should improve. Not our vision of earth, but our vision of Heaven. Those who have spent their life looking for Heaven gain a skip in their step as the City comes into view. After Michelangelo died, someone found in his studio a piece of paper on which he had written a note to his apprentice. In the handwriting of his old age the great artist wrote: "Draw, Antonio, draw, and do not waste time."

Well founded urgency. Michelangelo. Time slips. Days pass. Years fade. And life ends. And what we came to do must be done while there is time.~~~

--Like a Thief In the Night ~~

--BIBLE MEDITATION:
“For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.”
--- (1 Thessalonians 5:2)

-DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
There was a man who went shopping and left his car and house keys in the ignition. When he returned, his car was gone. The next morning he discovered his car in the driveway with a note that said, “I was in an emergency. I’m very sorry. I needed your car. Here are two tickets for the Dallas Cowboys game.”

The man went in and told his wife, “You won’t believe this! There’s our car, and look! We’ve got tickets to a Dallas Cowboys game!” They went to the game, and when they came home, their house had been cleaned out!

Friend, they never expected it, and that’s the point. That’s how the Lord Jesus Christ is going to come – as a thief in the night.

--ACTION POINT:
How would you live your life differently today if you knew that Jesus was coming back in 24 hours?

-Surrendering Everything to the LORD~~

--BIBLE MEDITATION:
“Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.”
----(Psalm 37:5)--

--DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Many say they have committed their lives to the Lord, but have they really? The psalmist challenges us to commit our way to the Lord. The word “commit” in this passage has the idea of rolling a burden over to the Lord.
Minnie A. Steele wrote a hymn in 1908 that I have often sung, titled “I Remember When My Burdens Rolled Away.” The first verse says,

“I remember when my burdens rolled away;
I had carried them for years, night and day.
When I sought the blessed Lord,
And I took Him at His word,
Then at once all my burdens rolled away.”
Well, she knew what she was talking about!

--ACTION POINT:
--Read Psalm 55:22 and once again roll over to the Lord your burdens. Surrender everything to Him. When was the last time you told Him, "How Great Thou Art?" Why not now? Jesus loves you so much, He died to set you free, to Praise Him.

---THE ONLY ONE WHO EVER CHOSE TO DIE~~

“I am the Good Shepherd: the Good Shepherd giveth His life for the sheep.”
----(John 10:11)

--Did you know that there has only been one person who ever chose to die? Only one.

"Oh," you say, "Suicide bombers choose to die. Other people choose to die. People who die by their own hand choose to die. People who give themselves for others choose to die."

But really no one has ever chosen to die except Jesus. Why? Because He was the only One who didn’t have to die. Some people may choose to die a little sooner, but nobody has ever truly chosen to die except One--the Lord Jesus Christ.

It wasn’t nails that held Him to the tree. It was the silver cords of love and the golden bonds of redemption that held Jesus Christ to that Cross.

-The fact that no one has ever chosen to die but Jesus, may be a new concept to you. If so, it’s probably new to someone else as well. Share it with someone today!

--Jesus died a brutal death on the Cross to take away our sins. "Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin." He died so that we can live forever! Accept Him as your Lord and Savior today. Tomorrow may never come. (Romans 10:9-10)

--JESUS, THE BRIDGE SPANNING THE GREAT DIVIDE~

“And that He might reconcile both unto God in one body by the Cross, having slain the enmity thereby.”
---- (Ephesians 2:16)

Up in heaven is the holy God.
Down below is the sinful man.
And sin is the dividing rod that separates.

Without God, man has an empty void in his life he knows he must fill, so man is constantly trying to reach God. But he keeps rebounding off the sin barrier.

Then God, moved in mercy by the pitiful plight of sinful man, said, “I will do something.”

God sent His Son, the Lord Jesus, to make a way. And upon the rough-hewn timbers of a Cross, Jesus gave His life so you and I could live forever and live forgiven. Jesus built a bridge between man and God. It’s a bridge man could never build. And a bridge that man can never take away.

God made a way that we couldn’t make . . . for me . . . and for you.

--- Since Jesus built a bridge of love for you to be reconciled to God, it’s your turn to build a bridge of love to someone who is lost and searching.~
*--Adrian Rogers~~*

[**Have you ever thought that the person you visit, or communicate with on a daily basis may not even know how to 'choose between spending eternity in Heaven or Hell'? There are millions of people lost. They are not saved by grace. In order to go to Heaven, Jesus gives us a 'free gift', but to receive this gift, we must take it. Otherwise, it just sits there.

So reach out and help save a soul for Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." --(John 14:6). He leaves that 'choice' up to each individual. It's not a matter if you've been born into a Christian family. Nor if you even go to Church on Sunday. You must deliberately ask Jesus to come into your heart, forgive you of all your sins, and help you to live for Him. He never turns away a sincere seeker. Please, do not let another day go by without becoming a child of the Lord Jesus Christ. He loves you with an everlasting love. That is precisely why He willingly died on that Cross. He died to save sinners from going to Hell. The Lord Jesus does not force himself on anyone. He leaves that decision to you.~

--YOU ARE A WANTED CHILD~~

--BIBLE MEDITATION:
“According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.”
--(Ephesians 1:4)

--DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
--The Holy Trinity worked together for your salvation. God the Father thought it, God the Spirit wrought it, and God the Son bought it. Christians are God’s special chosen ones. Are you a believer? Then you are a wanted child. Your salvation didn’t “just happen.”

--Ephesians 1:4 tells you that God chose you before the foundation of the world. Before He swung the stars in space, before He planted the seeds, before He built the mountains, before all of that, you were in the heart and mind of God. How special you are to God!

--ACTION POINT:
--God the Father sent His Spirit into the world to select and sanctify His children for His holy purpose. We are utterly dependent upon the Spirit for our salvation. And we seek Him because He first sought us!
