Update: Vaccine Injury Lawsuit Hammond v Minister for Health Western Australia And heartfelt thank you from Ben Hammond
A pre-trial conference regarding this matter has been set down for 24 July 2017.
In a previous newsletter, we asked our valued members and supporters to support Ben in his quest to raise funds for the cost of obtaining expert reports, which, he has been advised by his pro bono legal team, are absolutely necessary in order to win this David and Goliath battle. The response has been amazing, with donations to date reaching a little over $15,000, of the $20,000 target. Please help Ben reach his final target. Hi all!
Just a huge thanks to all that have donated. I am truly humbled by everyone's help and support to make it this far! It has certainly lifted a huge burden from us in meeting our legal expenses, and we are so close to achieving our target! Truly awesome! So far we have had two expert reports completed which will greatly add support to my legal case. Not only that, I have been given extensive time to discuss the magnitude of issues I face, and have gained further knowledge to help me through what I have to face with health issues now, and into the future. I am extremely grateful for all of the support we have been given so far, and will forever wear the burden of extending to the community for help. I can assure you that if I end up in a position to be able to help back other people in need, Tanya and I will. It has not been easy for me to swallow my pride and dignity and ask for charity. Five years ago, I would never have thought that I would have to put my hand out for help, because I have always prided myself on paying my own way and providing for my family. What we have raised so far is amazing, but making our financial goal will provide us with a solid foundation overall, so your sharing and raising awareness will help us achieve our target when we are so close! Non-vaccinated Australian children being refused medical care over immunisation, survey finds
Some unvaccinated Australian children are being turned away for medical treatment because their immunisation is not up-to-date, a survey has found.
The Australian Child Health Poll of almost 2,000 parents found among 5 per cent of children who were not up-to-date with the vaccinations, one in six had been refused care - particularly those under the age of six years. read more here
