Dr. Litano, Zirconia Implants and Natural Dentistry
In Natural Dentistry a major area of interest is in removing sources of toxicity in the mouth that keep the bodies protective mechanisms on constant alert. With an activated immune system working day and night to isolate and eliminate everything toxic the environment can throw its way, inflammation becomes the norm, not just a momentary immune system reaction. Without relief, a constant state of inflammation can be a downward spiral for a body and is why removing toxicity can bring such relief. Many other health remedies start to work as the Natural Dentist reduces toxic loads. When the old infected root canals and dead mercury filled teeth have been removed, its important to restore proper structure. But, up until recently we were limited in what we could do. It didn't seem correct to add more metal back into the mouth in terms of titanium implants. With this newsletter we are introducing Dr. Litano as a new partner to the practice and also the ability to place zirconia ceramic implants, the most biocompatible material available today. Dr. Carlo Litano is a person of interest as he embraced natural dentistry at an early age and discovered on his own that there was more to dentistry than just the smile and patching up decay. Dr. Litano History Dr. Litano is from a family of medical professionals from Peru. He attended Barry University in Miami Shores, FL with a focus in Biology and Chemistry. He went on to receive his Doctoral Dental Degree from Nova Southeastern University School of Dental Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 2005. As a new dentist, Dr. Litano focused his interests in holistic and integrative dentistry while practicing in Portland, Oregon where he mentored at the Northwest Center of Dental Excellence. He later developed an interest in managing TMJ disorders and chronic pain conditions by attending a mini-residency and numerous symposiums. Dr. Litano regularly seeks out continuing education, keeping him current in clinical dentistry. I read articles on the internet saying that receding gumline regrows.I'd like to ask when it happened to those people who experienced it.I've been oil pulling for 6 months; my teeth are stronger and whiter. I also feel that they are not sensitive anymore, mouth feels fresher. In spite of all these improvements, I have not observed any improvement in Gum recessions. I have heard about a product called Natures Smile Gum Balm . This product claims that gum recession can be reversed. Has anybody used this product?

Hello Hannah, No, I do not know anything regarding the Natures Smile Gum Balm. I did go online and see that most main causes of this is improper brushing of the teeth, thereby pushing the gum away from the teeth. I also have some of this. Also Gingivitis can cause this, inflammation of the gums. An over-the-counter product, CREST PRO-HEALTH fights plaque and gingivitis, (a mouth wash/rinse).
