This is a tough one to pick, I think the dentists are brainwashed in college, but are they not governed by Dental Associations like the ADA and such? In Canada the College of Dental Surgeons has threatened to take away a dentist's license to practice if they tell patients that mercury is harmful. They are only allowed to say that it can adversely affect about 3 percent of the population. A mercury free dentist actually admitted that to me but I had to swear not to repeat where I heard it. Mercury-free dentists here in Canada remove mercury under the guise of cosmetic dentistry to avoid harassment fromt the college...which would be the equivalent to the ADA, I guess.
