ok now I am certain that I am both mercury and copper toxic. Recently I've been following copper detox supplementation and diet and have really noticed a decrease in certain symptoms, however others remain, and seem more pronounced which I suspect are due to the mercury. A reason why the mercury symptoms may be more pronounced is that I stopped taking algin because I'm pretty sure it was increasing my copper symptoms, and was afraid it was depleting my body of zinc therefore hindering my copper detox. I think now that my copper levels are down (at least I hope) I'm gonna start taking algin again and c if it helps.
As for the difference in symptoms I have noticed that copper makes you much more worked up and stimulated adding a great deal of anxiety and panic. It made me paranoid all the time and worrying and also sometimes made me delusional about the outside world. I think someone on this forum already mentioned the stimulating affect copper has on them.
Mercury symptoms I have noticed lately on the other hand have some similarities like anxiety, but in a different way that is more depressing on the body. I tend to lose all hope and self worth and confidence, I become irratible and angry over nothing and feel like lashing out at people. I think "withdrawn" is the best word I can think of when describing what mercury does to me.
I hope this helps people work out whether they might be copper toxic too.

Wow this pretty amazing that your experience is so similar to mine. Right after my copper symptoms started to decrease, I noticed an increase mercury symptoms. Especially fatigue.
My copper symptoms are still pretty strong. I feel strong paranio like you described, which is definitely abnormal for my personality. Along with over-stimulation.
It's probably from the increase in dopamine.

hey hammer, yea this is good stuff that we are similiar, just reaffirms that copper is a real problem, just as much so as mercury. I think that I'm finally starting to get a hold of my heavy metal problems. I useta only think mercury was my problem so I would detox accordingly but I would still get these other weird symptoms that only grew stronger and stronger which I now realise are copper related.
I really have noticed mercury symptoms coming back lately which is a relief in some ways ( i know sounds weird but has really shown me the difference between copper and mercury) I started taking algin again today with awesome results, have felt great all afternoon! I think algin doesn't really do much for copper.
I think eliminating beer and restricting alcohol has really made a difference for me, but the main thing that I think that has decreased copper symptoms is taking this zinc complex supplement with every meal, which contains zinc citrate, molybdenum, manganese, chromium, magnesium and vit b6. Tis good stuff..

I think I'm going to hold off on any type of fiber for a while. I hope it doesn't take out any zinc for you.
Hmmmm I've never tried chromiun of manganese but I've heard the can help quite a bit with copper. Tempted to try these two.
B6 helped me with severe over-stimulation from the copper, but I dont' seem to need it anymore because I'm making such good improvement.s
