I've done four rounds of DMSA since all of my silver/mercury fillings have been removed. The only metal in my mouth is one very small gold filling. Does anyone know if it is harmful to chelate with a gold filling?

Hi
No, it is not harmful but Gold does inhibit the degree to which mercury can be removed from your body. Chelation does work, but ust not quite as well as when the gold is not there.
Strangely I've noticed this topic doesn't seem to appear at all in english speaking mercury-detox-web sites/forums. My mercury chelation improved noticeably in both speed and quality once I had my last gold crown removed. Interestingly also head aches that always accompanied my chelation stopped immediately once the yellow shiny stuff was out.

I agree Steve, I think most dentists have patients believe that gold is safe, but I have read that it does interact with other metals.
