--THE BELIEVER'S SELF-LIFE is composed of the habits, attitudes, and relationships he or she is unwilling to surrender. Keeping those things from the Lord gives us a sense of independence--highly prized in our current culture. However, by following the "self," we interfere with God's purpose. He wants every aspect of our lives to be submitted to His will.
Walking in full obedience to the Lord is the only true liberty. Believers, and unbelievers, have to make the choice to follow in His steps. He wants a surrendered heart. He doesn't want robots. That is why He gives us 'free will.'
Come to Jesus just as you are. Don't wait until you 'get better', or 'have time to think about it'. No one knows the day or hour when the Son of God will return. If He came right now, would you make it into Heaven? Do you know what it means to be saved? Saved from sin, the world and the devil. You can not do this on your own. The whole world is under control of the evil one. (1 John 5:19)
Jesus has already paid our sin-debt. It's up to each one of us to accept His 'free gift' of salvation. He offers you eternal life! Please don't turn Him away. He loves you with an everlasting love and underneath are his everlasting arms."
'Wherever you've been. Whatever you've done, come as you are in His open arms.' Jesus loves you so much. He died for 'you'. Take the Bible as a personal love letter, because that is what it is.
