Greetings all, I was just in the middle of an email to Laura, telling her how the chelation is going. I thought instead of writing directly, I'd share my quite positive experiences with everybody.
The chelation is definately making me feel better over all. Although, it dawned on me, in a flash, that I might also be gluten intolerant, so I did some testing of a gluten-free diet, and I feel unbelievably well. I wasn't surprised to learn that gluten and lactose intolerance has also been linked to amalgam issues. (I'm probably lactose intolerant too, but it becomes a bit difficult to manage - I've got to eat something!)
With regard to Algin, I specifically haven't been taking any when I've been chelating, after you said that it can reduce the effectiveness of whatever else is taken with it. Steve found that quite strongly that the alpha-lipoic acid was far more effective without Algin. So I'm now up to 50 mg ala every four hours for a week at a time, separated by a week of no ala, where I take Algin three times a day and L-Glutathione (250 mg) twice during the week.
The hangover effect seems to be gone now. I don't notice that I'm taking ala anymore - only occassionally a very slight dizziness, and then not much. The key seems to be taking it religiously every four hours (the 2am pill ain't so fun!)
So, all in all, with no gluten, and chelating, I'm feeling about 16 again, have started back at the gym, and really enjoying life with no brain fog! I realise I've been very lucky too. My effects were never overpowering, the amalgam removal went as well as could be expected, and chelating, while a hassle, does nothing but benefit me.
