--Promoted from Guilt to Righteousness
--BIBLE MEDITATION:“But to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” Romans 4:5
--DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:Justification is God’s act whereby He declares those who have trusted in Christ to be as righteous as His Son is righteous. Salvation is not based on our works.Do you know what God sees when He looks at me today? He sees Jesus Christ. You may be thinking, “That’s arrogant, Adrian.”
No, it’s not. It is the Bible. I am in Christ and therefore God cannot see my sins (see 1 Corinthians 1:30). He only sees the righteousness of His Son.Justification is more than just a pardon. It is a promotion. God doesn’t just forgive our sins, He makes us righteous.
Only God can take someone who is guilty and give that person righteousness. It is the saving work of God. What is the basis of our justification? His grace.--ACTION POINT:Do you see yourself today as defeated, wrapped in the guilt of failure and regret? Look through another lens: the Father sees you clothed in white—the righteousness of His Son.--Adrian Rogers
[Once we belong to Jesus, the Holy Spirit empowers us for everything that is required on the way of righteousness; loving God with our whole heart, loving our neighbors, and carrying out the Lord's purposes. His plans are to take precedence over our own. In contrast to the disappointments on the broad road, every divine promise is guaranteed.
The broad road leads to Hell. The narrow road leads to eternal life with Jesus, Heaven. It has a small entrance, because there is only one way to be reconciled to God--through faith in Christ. Traveling on this path requires a commitment to the Savior and a lifestyle of dependence, sacrifice, and trust.
Each of us must choose which path to take: the wide one that ends in hopelessness and eternal separation from the Lord, or the narrow one leading to life everlasting. If you desire a relationship with God through Jesus, confess you are a sinner in need of the Savior Jesus, and ask Him to forgive you of your sins. He never turns away a sincere heart. Once you have done that, you are 'saved.' Saved from sin, hell and the devil. The choice is up to you.
"Choose this day who you will serve. But as for me and my house we will serve the Lord Jesus." --IN TOUCH
The 'decision' is always left up to each person who wants to spend eternity in Heaven. No, it's not easy. It was not easy for Jesus and it will not be easy for us. But He promises to be with us and help us in our time of need, if we just call and ask Him.] ~~
