Dear Friend of Digital Freedom,

Your communications should be secure from prying eyes. To help you reclaim your privacy, EFF revamped Surveillance Self-Defense, an expansive guide to defending against digital eavesdropping. Will you donate to support EFF in protecting users’ rights?

Surveillance Self-Defense is a wide-ranging guide to protecting your communications and private information. In it, we teach important security practices and describe how to use encryption tools. You can jump around from basic to advanced tutorials, or work your way through a topic playlist, like “how to protect yourself as a Mac user” or “what you should know as a human rights defender.” And, the guide makes it easy for you to send resources to friends and family, strengthening the whole community of people with whom you communicate.

Supporters of EFF made it possible for analysts, attorneys, and technologists to dedicate months to the serious challenge of developing a comprehensive, usable resource that is accurate across multiple languages. Your donation would help support maintaining the quality of the guide and providing more translations for people around the world who need this information. But it would also give EFF the means to battle proliferating threats to digital rights, including the expansive surveillance regime that makes the guide a necessity.

Please chip in to defend your rights and protect digital communications for people around the world.

Thank you,
