--So Many Reasons to Love the Lord ~~ -By: Helen Steiner Rice Thank You, God, for little things that come unexpectedly To brighten up a dreary day that dawned so dismally-- Thank You, God, for sending a happy thought my way To blot out my sadness on a disappointing day-- Thank You, God for brushing the "dark clouds" from my mind And leaving only "sunshine" and joy of heart behind... Oh, God the list is endless of things to thank You for. But I take them all for granted and unconsciously ignore That everyting I think or do, each movement that I make, Each measured rhythmic heartbeat, each breath of life I take... Is something You have given me for which there is no way For me in all my "smallness" to in any way repay. ~~ -- ---- "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with Whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." --(James 1:17)

--Does God Really Care About the Small Stuff?Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. ---Philippians 4:6-7 Dr. G. Campbell Morgan, the great preacher of a century ago, once gave a compelling sermon about how believers in Christ should bring every request before God. After the service, an elderly woman walked up to him and asked, “Dr. Morgan, should I really bring my every little request to God? Doesn’t He have so much more to be concerned about than my little request?” G. Campbell Morgan looked at the lady with a gleam in his eye and said, “Madam, can you conceive of anything that’s not small to God?” Well, the obvious answer is that there is nothing that’s not small to God. Your problems in life, be they a hurt toe or deep anxiety, are well within His control and worthy of being brought before Him. Why? Because God loves you and whatever concerns you also concerns Him if you’re walking in His will. Don’t ever think God is too big to hear your little requests. Yes, He’s the Lord of creation, but He’s also an intimate friend. Take your requests to Him and trust He’ll work every single one of them out for your good and His glory. -BRING YOUR REQUESTS – BIG AND SMALL – TO GOD, KNOWING HE’LL WORK THEM OUT FOR YOUR GOOD AND HIS GLORY.

--The Power of Love --Read | Luke 15:11-24At times, those of us reading Scripture in English are shortchanged by the language’s limitations. For instance, English has just one word for love, but Paul’s original letters, written in Greek, use two words. Believers are promised that God’s love will reside in them (Eph. 3:19). But we often think that refers to 'phileo' love—brotherly concern and affection for others. Yet the truth is, the Holy Spirit shows 'agape' love in us—a commitment to another person’s security, satisfaction, and development. We, too, have the capacity to show the same sacrificial love Jesus demonstrated at Calvary. He subtly described the power of this love in His parable of the prodigal son. The father must have recognized that greed and wanderlust were gnawing at the young man and that denying his request for an early inheritance would lead to bitterness. So, despite personal and financial sacrifice, he gave the son his share of the estate. Then, the father waited while the prodigal learned his lesson. No doubt that was a trying time. A good dad wants to protect his children from making mistakes. But a wise man also knows that people often must discover hard truths for themselves.. Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is to get out of their way. The prodigal son returned home dirty, contrite, and seeking a place in the servants’ quarters. What he received instead was the full force of his father’s love and instant restoration to his place as the master’s son. That is 'agape', and it is the kind of love that wins hearts and minds for the Lord. [Jesus loves you so very much! He died to pay your's and my sin-debt. Please don't turn away from Him. Come to the Father in Jesus Name and He will forgive you and take you into His kingdom.] --IN TOUCH~~

--Yes, We All Have "So Many Reasons to Love the Lord"~ --The Lord is always available for us to run to. Pray to, ask help for a special need. 'Thank Him in all things, for this is the will of God, in Christ Jesus concerning you.' ------ --No one ever sought the Father and found He was not there, And no burden is too heavy to be lightened by a prayer.
-No problem is too intricate, and no sorrow that we face Is too deep and devastating to be softened by His grace. ~~ -------- No trials and tribulation are beyond what we can bear If we share them with our Father as we talk to Him in prayer...
And men of every color, every race, and every creed Have but to seek the Father in their deepest hour of need.~~ ---- --Helen Steiner Rice ~~-Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. ---So Many Reasons to Love the Lord Jesus~~ --'Our Father up in Heaven, -long, long years ago, --Looked down in His great mercy upon the earth below.
And He saw that folks were lonely and lost in deep despair,
And so He said, "I'll send My Son to walk among them there...
So they can hear Him speaking and feel His nearness, too, And see the many miracles that faith alone can do."------ "Come to the Father through Jesus His Son, and give Him the glory great things He has done!" ------------ -LORD, Help us when we falter and renew our faith each day. And forgive our human errors and hear us when we pray.
And keep us gently humble in the greatness of Thy Love So someday we are fit to dwell with Thee in peace above. ~~
