--What is the Gospel?

-"For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received; that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that He was buried, that he was raised and on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve." =
--1 Corinthians 15:3-5

--This is so true! When a person is truly 'born again' of the Spirit of the Living God, (not of the flesh), he must change. The old sin-nature has died, it has been crucified with Christ, and THEN we begin our new life living for Christ. In fact, You will be so enthusiastic to tell everyone of this new way of life, because there are only two choices in eternity, Heaven with Jesus- or Hell with Satan. Yes, both places are real. Don't let anyone deceive you into believing that when you die, you just 'cease to be', or are reincarnated. That is a lie from Satan.

"The Gospel is Jesus Christ."

Now, what do I mean by that? Well, think of it this way; you can take Buddha out of Buddhism and still have the basic tenants of that religion. You can take Muhammad out of Islam, and you'd still have the same principles. But if you take Christ out of Christianity, there is nothing left because our faith is not in a system, but in a Person, JESUS!

Christianity, at its very heart, is not a code; it's not a cause; it's not a creed; and it's not a church. Christanity is Christ! It is the Gospel concerning Jesus, it doesn't consist of a list of rules or a philosophy on life. The Gospel is JESUS!

Stop trying to just live according to rules Instead, live according to the life of Christ in you. Allow Him to determine your steps. And as you press into Him, He'll transform the way you think, how you act, and will give you joy like you've never experienced! You will have 'joy unspeakable and full of glory!"

--LET YOUR NEW LIFE PUSH OUT THE OLD LIFE!

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” - 2 Corinthians 5:17

--OUR eyes delight to see those trees in Autumn which turn glorious colors, then drop their leaves one by one. But there are certain trees that hold their leaves until Spring. They wither and turn brown, but they don’t drop. Not until Spring do these trees lose their leaves—when the new leaves push out the old leaves.

That’s exactly what happens to our old habits and our old lives when we accept our 'free life' in the Lord Jesus. The new life pushes that old life off, it is dead to me, and I live unto Jesus.

It’s not a matter of plucking off this leaf and knocking off that leaf. The Christian life is not forged in that manner. Our new life replaces our old life when we are born again. We are growing from the inside out, in JESUS CHRIST! \o/
