Please keep the Ebola Treatment Centers in your prayers= Doctors, as well as the patients. The update from Samaritan's Purse (International Relief) BELOW 8/24/2019~~
---For the past eight months, Samaritan's Purse has operated an Ebola Treatment Center in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This Ebola outbreak has grown to the second worst on record, and there is no sign that it's slowing down. Health officials say that at least half of the cases have been undiagnosed, meaning that it might take years to stop the epidemic.
This is a dangerous country to work in, beyond the threat of Ebola. Tribal violence can spring up without warning, and other organizations working to treat Ebola have had their clinics raided and burned. But God has protected us, and Samaritan's Purse has stayed to care for the suffering people amid these ongoing threats.
One of the patients at our Ebola Treatment Center was a teenage girl who was very ill. While our medical staff waited for the results of her Ebola test, they prayed for her and listened to her story. When she heard the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, she wept with joy and accepted His gift of forgiveness and salvation.
Her Ebola test was negative, but like many of the people who come to our treatment center, she was suffering from another disease with similar symptoms. So we transferred her--with a new Bible in her hands---to the nearest hospital for treatment. Sadly, we learned that she died a few days later, but praise Jehovah G-D that she is now with her Savior Jesus Christ.
We have treated 570 patient to date at our Ebola Treatment. Center, including a number of children. Over one-third of the victims are under the age of 5. Samaritan's Purse is also training local staff in 20 health centers.
Samaritan's Purse is on the front line in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, working in Jesus' Name to stem the spread of Ebola and proclaim the Good News. Please pray for our work in the Congo, that lives will be saved and the Name of Christ will be lifted high. ~~ --[Thank You For Your Prayers! /Franklin Graham, President ~] --Samaritan's Purse / International Relief ~ [To Give Financial help/ Samaritan's Purse / P.
