--WHAT TO DO WHEN 'CHANGE' COMES?

"Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."- bible
---Hebrews 13:7-8

-I remember back in 1965 when our church got its very first drum set. Up until then, all we had was a piano and an organ. Well, I thought we were going to have to put cardiac arrest equipment in the foyer. And the interesting thing is I was the drummer… so I heard the worst of it!

“How could you bring that instrument into the house of God?” one lady asked. Another said, “It’s terrible that our church has come to this!” Well, after some time passed and some very delicate conversations took place, we kept the drum set.

Today, drums are commonplace in many churches, and most people don’t think twice about them. But the battle over drums in my church was just an example of the different perspectives that are present in any church. It may be instruments, preaching style, or carpet color, but each of us comes into church with a pre-conceived idea of how things “should” be.

But the reality is that we’re not always going to get our way and, at times, will have to acquiesce to change. So while you may have a different background than others in your church, keep the main thing the main thing. Stay unified in the Body and work together to worship and serve the Lord!

--KEEP UNITY THE FOCUS IN THE BODY, EMBRACE CHANGE, AND WORK TOGETHER IN THE SERVICE OF CHRIST!

--PP/JG
[There are many churches today making changes in the 'wrong' direction. We also see we must have 'Courage in a Culture of Compromise.' But we are never to compromise our belief in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Word of God stands firm. "Every word of God is tested; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. Do not add to His words Or He will reprove you, and you will be proved a liar." [Proverbs 30:5-6]- He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He never changes! (Hebrews 13:8~]

--How to Worship God in a godless World~~

"When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously."
--Daniel 6:10

-It’s interesting how, very often, the world tells us not to get too fired up about praying and worshiping God. Some say, “You can just pray quietly, so there’s no need to ever pray aloud.” And others say, “God knows your heart, so don’t sing with passion in worship. Just move your mouth and go along with everyone else.”

But when it came to Daniel, where he stood couldn’t have been clearer. When he was told he could no longer pray to God, he sat right by his window as he’d always done, got on his knees, and prayed.

So what can we learn from Daniel? Well, it’s certainly not that we should be abrasive for the sake of getting attention. Nor is it that we should always try to make a statement by being overly irritating when it comes to our worship. What we can learn from Daniel is that when we are fervent in our faith, nothing will stop it.

That’s not a popular way of thinking in today’s world, and I’m sure it won’t get any easier in the years to come. But in a world that shuns truth, we, as believers, must stand firm. Don’t be deterred in your worship by the shifting sands of culture. Be steady in your faith and you’ll endure whatever hardship that may bring!

-WHEN THE WORLD PRESSURES YOU TO TONE DOWN THE PASSION IN YOUR PRAYER AND WORSHIP, STAY FERVENT IN YOUR FAITH.

-Always follow God's Word. He never changes.

"Thy word is true from the beginning; and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth forever." (Psalm 9:10)~~

--Not the Ten Suggestions

“But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.” crackthebook - Psalm 1:2

-Ted Koppel, ABC’s original 'Nightline' host for decades, was addressing the 1987 graduating class at Duke University. If he never ever says anything else right, he said a mouthful to those students:

“In the place of Truth we have discovered facts; for moral absolutes we have substituted moral ambiguity. We now communicate with everyone and say absolutely nothing.” And then he said, “What Moses brought down from Mount Sinai were not ‘The Ten Suggestions.’ They are commandments. Are, not were. The sheer brilliance of the Ten Commandments is that they codify in a handful of words acceptable human behavior, not just for then or now, but for 'all time'.”

--Mr. Koppel got it just right!

It is a tragedy that The Ten Commandments have been removed from the walls of many public schools. But more important than The Ten Commandments being on the wall at the local school is that they be taught in your home and written upon the walls of your heart.

--MAKING SENSE OF CHAOS IN LIFE~

--"For God is not a God of confusion but of peace." crackthebook
--1 Corinthians 14:33

The history of mankind can be thought of in terms of power. In the beginning of our history, we had man power, the ability to do things for ourselves. Then, we had horse power, the ability to use animals to do work for us. After that came machine power as we found the ability to make complex devices to accomplish difficult tasks.

Each step in the development of power has enriched mankind, both financially and materially. And yet, while we’ve slowly learned how to exhibit control and power over the world around us, we’ve also learned each step of the way that there’s much more we don’t control than we realize.

So what does this leave us? Well for one, we’re now in a place where we can firmly say we’re not in control of most things. Even when we take into account those things we do control, they pale in comparison to the number of things we don’t.

Our only options then are either to surrender to chaos and believe whatever happens has no ultimate purpose, or we believe that God is ultimately in control and has a purpose for everything. But the Bible is clear – God works everything out for the good of those who love Him. Everything has a purpose.

Don’t let the chaos of life distress you. Trust in the goodness of God and believe that in Christ, He’ll work everything out for your good!

-IN THE SEEMING CHAOS OF LIFE, TRUST GOD TO USE EVERYTHING FOR YOUR GOOD AND HIS GLORY.

---When We Feel Burned Out
---Read | Isaiah 40:27-31

Almost all of us can recall times when our bodies and minds have felt tired from manual labor and mental strain.
If these conditions become constant or extreme, it is very easy for us to become burned out.

Fortunately, we have been provided with specific encouragement for such times of exhaustion. Today’s Scripture reading reveals three reassuring truths about God and His faithfulness in our times of weakness.

First, we learn that the Lord “does not become weary or tired” (v. 28). Therefore, we can call upon a God who won’t ever run out of power. His strength has never decreased and will not decrease in the future. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Heb. 13:8).

Second, we find that “He gives strength to the weary” and power to those who are not mighty (Isa. 40:29). Our loving heavenly Father does not frown upon us when we are weak. Instead, He embraces us and lifts us up when we are unable to help ourselves.

-Finally, we are given an incredible promise. Verse 31 reads, “Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.”

The next time you feel too tired or frustrated to go on, remember this: Our God is not exhaustible.
Instead, He is faithful to provide a supply of endless divine strength to those who are willing to wait for His perfect timing. In all things, He gives exactly what we need for the moment at hand.

---How Do You Handle A Crisis?

“And he [Herod] killed James the brother of John with the sword. And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also.” - Acts 12:2-3

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, who are the called according to His purpose.” - Romans 8:28

What do you do in times of crisis? One thing we all must do, before we panic or sin against God, is respect the mystery of God’s providence.

Throughout the pages of His Word, you’re going to see the hidden hand of God...working in mysterious ways, in inexplicable ways. God is in the shadows arranging things, moving things people cannot see. That may be true in your life right now. God is working, but you cannot see Him working.

You may be in the middle of chaos right now. Nothing seems to be making sense. Everything you thought you had nailed down is coming loose, and the devil is pulling nails as fast as he can.

Just because it doesn’t make sense to you doesn’t mean it doesn’t make sense. Many of us have questions. As we look at Acts chapter 12, we say, “Well, how could God let a rascal like Herod be the king anyway? Isn’t God, God? If I were God, I’d turn him into a frog. And why should James be killed and Peter released? Does God have favorites? Has God lost control?”

Friend, you must grasp this important truth, or you will live your life floundering. We do not live by explanations. Life is not a problem to be solved; it is a mystery to be lived. Sometimes we must back off and simply see what I call the hidden hand of God. Just because you cannot see today the hand of God working doesn’t mean God is not working.

---WHAT TO DO WHEN "CHANGE" COMES?
We all know things of this old earth are changing rapidly. They were all prophesied in the Bible. So let's get some insight from various godly Ministries on what the Word says.~~

------------
----A Very Present Help

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.” (Psalm 46:1-3)
-------------- bible
--The modifier “very” in this verse is a strong word. God is an intensively present helper in time of trouble; “let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27). Those who hold a deistic philosophy argue that God is far away, leaving the earth and its inhabitants to work out their own evolutionary salvation after He first started it going billions of years ago. But they are wrong, for God is right here, right now! “The LORD of hosts is with us” (Psalm 46:11).

There had, indeed, been a time when the earth was removed (literally, “the ground was changed”), and even the mountains had been eroded away and washed into the oceans. The waters swelled higher and the mountains quaked until finally, in the words of the apostle Peter, “the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished” (2 Peter 3:6).

This was the great Flood in the days of Noah—the greatest “trouble” in the world’s history. Even then, God had provided a refuge for His people—the Ark which He instructed Noah to build. When the Flood came, “the LORD shut him in,” and throughout the height of the cataclysm, “God remembered Noah, and every living thing” (Genesis 7:16; 8:1). There are great judgments coming on the earth in future days as well (Psalm 46:6-9), when the earth itself will be melted (literally “dissolved,” 2 Peter 3:10).

Again, the Lord’s people in that day can still say: “The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge” (Psalm 46:7). From the beginning of Creation to the end of the age, God is a very present help to His people.

--Moving Past the Fear of Change~~

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
--Joshua 1:9

-As I talk to many people in churches today, one sentiment I often hear is that people are afraid of change. They’re scared that if we change our methods, then it’s going to change our message. Now, some of this concern is justified, as many churches whose methods are rapidly changing are also changing their message.

But the truth is that our methods must constantly be changing or we risk becoming irrelevant. Irrelevance happens when we become so attached to communicating a message a certain way that we fail to change even when everyone else does. Had the church never changed, we’d still be preaching in Greek and Hebrew!

Change will happen whether we like it or not. We can either choose to let change happen to the world around us while we’re left behind, or we can guide change and be a part of communicating the Gospel in exciting new ways.

As the people of God, we must keep our message biblical and our methods relevant. So don’t be afraid of change. Welcome new and exciting ideas in your church and you’ll help spread the life-transforming truth of the Bible to as many people as possible!

INSTEAD OF BEING AFRAID OF CHANGE, EMBRACE CHANGE THAT WILL HELP YOU BETTER SHARE THE WORD OF GOD WITH OTHERS.

--- IS CHANGE REALLY A PROBLEM?

-"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."
--Hebrews 13:8

One thing I’ve noticed over the past 40 years is just how much life is changing. Here’s what I mean: On the highway, the speed limit used to be a standard 55 miles per hour. Today, you’ll find places with limits of 80 miles per hour or more.

Not only that, but look at the number of options we have today. When I was growing up, we had two channels we could watch on television. Today, we can turn to hundreds of channels without finding a single thing worth watching!

Our society has developed a habit of pushing the limits. Now, in some ways, that’s beneficial. But in many other ways, it’s become a detriment. It seems like every month now we hear about this or that person who pushed the envelope a little too far. Then there’s a backlash from some, and the whole incident is forgotten until someone tries to go further next time.

Change itself isn’t bad. But all change can really be placed in two categories: progress or decay. Change is either for the better or for the worse. So in our ever-changing society, strive for and support the changes that are beneficial. Make things better by being a cultural catalyst for the things of our never-changing God!

-CHANGE IS ALWAYS GOING TO HAPPEN. SO BE A CATALYST FOR CHRIST-FOCUSED CHANGE IN OUR CULTURE.

--WHAT TO DO WHEN CHANGE COMES~~

-As we all know 'change' has been happening all across our world from our Creator, JEHOVAH SHAMMA, ever since the 'fall in the Garden of Eden'. When sin entered, the god of this world took over, as allowed by our Lord and Savior (1 John 5:19).

However now, Christ, our Redeemer, has defeated Satan on the Cross, cross "Death has been swallowed up in Victory." Jesus conquered death and paid our 'sin-debt' once and for all.

“For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.” Isaiah 41:13

--DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Once I had the rare opportunity of visiting with Corrie Ten Boom. I drank in her words. I listened and kept my mouth shut. One of her statements went straight to my heart: “There is no panic in heaven, only plans.” That is how God operates — no panic. Did you know the Holy Trinity never meets in an emergency session? God has never stepped down from His throne. Jesus has not left His right hand, and the Holy Spirit has not stopped interceding for you, His child. Refuse to listen to Satan’s lies of fear, discouragement, and despair. You are a victor. And God is in control!

-ACTION POINT:
Repeat the following throughout the day today, “God is in control of my life. He will not leave me. His right hand will sustain me all the length of my days.”

--CHARLES Dickens' novel 'A Christmas Carol' was released on December 19, 1843, and has never been out of print. It tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a wealthy, sour, stingy man who says, "Every idiot who goes about with 'Merry Christmas,' on his lips, should be boiled with his own pudding!" Yet, one Christmas Eve, Scrooge is radically changed into a generous and happy man. With great humor and insight. Dickens' book captures the universal longing for inner peace.

Where do we get that peace? Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace! We celebrate His Birthday, December 25th. -THE conductor stood, scanning the choir and orchestra. The singers arranged the music in their folders, found a comfortable position for standing, and held the folder where they could see the conductor. Orchestra members positioned their music on the stand, found a comfortable position in their seats, and then sat still. The conductor waited until everyone was ready. Then, with a downbeat of his baton, the sounds of Handel's "Overture to Messiah" filled the Cathedral.

With the sound swirling around me, I felt I was immersed in Christmas--when God, at just the right moment, signaled the downbeat and set in motion an overture that started with the birth of the Messiah, the "High Priest of the good things to come." (Heb. 9:11).

Every Christmas, as we celebrate Christ's first coming with glorious music, I'm reminded that God's people, like choir and orchestra members, are getting ready for the next downbeat of the Conductor when Christ will come again.
On that day, we will participate with Him in the final movement of God's symphony of Redemption--making all things new (Rev. 21:5). In anticipation, we need to keep our eyes on the Conductor, Jesus Christ, and make sure we are ready.

--Jehovah Jireh, Our Provider

--BIBLE MEDITATION:
“And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and He healed their sick.” bible Matthew 14:14

--DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
--It is the unbelievable, supernatural replenishment that awakens the world to see the mighty power of God. Jesus demonstrated, once with a crowd of 5,000 and again with a crowd of 4,000, that He is the God who provides (see Matthew 14:14-21, 15:32-38).

When the most “responsible” thing to do, in human terms, was to ask the multitudes to find their own food, Jesus turned to the supernatural power of God. Moved with compassion, He confidently told the disciples to begin feeding the multitudes.

Jesus never wavered in His complete and utter trust in 'Jehovah Jireh'.

--ACTION POINT:
Read the accounts of these miracles in Matthew with your family today, then ask God to fill your family with an utter and complete trust in Jehovah Jireh.

---God Will Lighten Your Load

If we let him, God will lighten our loads. Why don’t you try traveling light? Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” Try it! Try it for the sake of those you love. How do you embrace someone if your arms are full of bags? For the sake of those you love, learn to set them down.

And for the sake of the God you serve, do the same. God has a great race for you to run. But you have to drop some stuff. How can you share grace if you’re full of guilt? How can you offer comfort if you’re disheartened?
God is saying, “Set it down, child. I’ll carry that one.” What do you say we take God up on his wonderful offer? We just might find ourselves traveling a little lighter.-/ Come To Me, All You Who are Weary~ Kari Jobe

--We Are to Be Lights For Jesus ~~

"Do not forget to do
good and to share, for
with such sacrifices God
is well pleased."
---Hebrews 13:16

----
--LEE GEYSBEEK of Compassion International told about a woman who had the opportunity to travel to a distant land to visit the child she sponsored. She decided to take the child, who was living in abject poverty, to a restaurant.

The boy ordered a hamburger, and the sponsor ordered a salad. When the food came to the table, the boy, who assuredly had never had such a meal in his life, surveyed the scene. He looked at his huge hamburger and over at his sponsor's small salad. Then he took his knife and cut the burger in half, offered it to this sponsor, rubbed his tummy, and asked, "Hungry?"

A child who had next to nothing his whole life was willing to share half of what he had with someone he thought might need more. This child can be a good reminder the next time we meet someone in physical, emotional, or spiritual need. As followers of Jesus, our faith in Him should be mirrored through our actions. (James 2:17)

We encounter people in need every day. Some around the globe, some simply around the corner. Some in need of a warm meal, others a kind word. What a difference followers of Christ, who have experienced His love, could make by doing good and sharing. (Hebrews 13:16). Come on fellow-believers, let's SHINE FOR JESUS, the world needs more of Him.

---God Redeems for Good

Have you wept your final tear or received your last round of chemotherapy? Not necessarily. Will your unhappy marriage become happy in a heartbeat? Not likely. Does God guarantee the absence of struggle and the abundance of strength? Not in this life. But he does pledge to reweave your pain for a higher purpose.

It won’t be quick! Sometimes God takes His time. Twenty years to prepare Noah for the flood, eighty years to prepare Moses for his work.
How long will God take with you? He may take His time. His history is redeemed not in minutes but in lifetimes. We see a perfect mess; God sees a perfect chance to train, test, and teach. We see a prison…God sees bootcamp! What Satan intends for evil, God redeems for good!

We are children of the day.
So wake up, sleeper, lift your head.
We were meant for more than this.

Fight the shadows, conquer death.
Make the most of the time we have left.
We are the light of the world. We are the city on a hill. We are the light of the world.
We gotta, we gotta, we gotta let the light shine.

We are the light of the world, We are the city on a hill. We are the light of the world.
We gotta, we gotta, we gotta let the light shine, let the light shine, let the light shine.

We are called to spread the news.
To tell the world the simple truth,
Jesus came to save, there's freedom in His name.
So let His love break through.

We are the light of the world, We are the city on a hill.
We are the light of the world.
We gotta, we gotta, we gotta let the light shine.

We are the light of the world. We are the city on a hill.

We are the light of the world.
We gotta, we gotta, we gotta let the light shine.
We are the light. We are the light. We are the light,
So let your light shine brighter.

We are the light, We are the light.
We are the light Jesus, you are the light.
You are the light.
You are the light.
We will lift you high and shine, shine, shine.
We are the light of the world.
We are the city on a hill.
We are the light of the world.

We gotta, we gotta, we gotta let the light shine.
We are the light of the world.
We are the city on a hill.
We are the light of the world, We gotta, we gotta,
we gotta let the light shine.
We gotta shine, we gotta shine (let the light shine).
-----
Jesus spoke saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."-(JOHN 8:12)

This old world is passing away, but Jesus is forever. "You must be born again to see the kingdom of God." (John 3:3)

"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." All of us need to be made new again, in the Spirit.~~
The first birth was for earthly life; the second one is for eternal life. The first time we received a physical heart; the second time we receive a spiritual heart. The first birth enabled us to have life on earth. The second birth enables us to have life eternal.
In order for us to 'shine for Jesus' and spread His Word, the Light, we must be born again. (John 3:3)~~

--As we all know, 'Change Is Always Happening In Our World'.
This will continue until Jesus comes to take us Home, to the Heavenly Jerusalem, the Celestial City, 'not made with hands', but by the Hand of God! PTL!

So, in the meantime we are to encourage one another in the faith.
"Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy,
fulfill my joy be being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind."

--The Master Builder /Jehovah Elohim

---Several years ago the state was rebuilding an overpass near my house. Three lanes reduced to one, transforming a morning commute into a daily stew. The project, like human history, had been in development since before time began. My next-door neighbors at the time were highway engineers, consultants to the department of transportation. “It’ll take time,” they responded to my grumbles, “but it will all get finished.” They had seen the plans.

In the Old Testament story of Joseph, God allows us to study His plans. Brothers dumping brother. But watch the Master Builder at work. He cleared debris, stabilized the structure. And the chaos of Genesis 37:24.…They cast him into the pit..became the triumph of Genesis 50:20— life for many people. God redeemed the story of Joseph. Can’t He redeem your story as well?

--'YOU WILL GET THROUGH THIS'

----MAP OUT A STRATEGY ~~

--You cannot control the weather. You are not in charge of the economy. You can’t un-wreck the car. But you can map out a strategy. Remember, God is in this crisis. Ask God to give you two or three steps you can take today. Seek counsel from someone who has faced a similar challenge. Ask friends to pray. Reach out to a support group. Most importantly, make a plan.

You’d prefer a miracle for your crisis? You’d rather see the bread multiplied or the stormy sea turned glassy calm in a finger snap? God may do this. Then again, He may say, “I am with you. I can use this for good. Now let’s make a plan.” God’s sovereignty does not negate our responsibility. It empowers it. Don’t let the crisis paralyze you. Trust God to do what you cannot. Obey God, and do what you can.
--'You'll Get Through This' - /Max Lucado

[-Friends, I highly recommend this book by Max Lucado, no matter what your storm may be at this time. We are pressing on, in Jesus Name. Yes, we are on a Battleship, it wasn't easy for Jesus but He is with us in this storm. God is in the business of redeeming the broken. He was then. He is still. Do you crave some hope for these tough times? Then this message is for you. The book, "You'll Get Through This" by Max was published in 2013. I highly recommend this book. No matter what your situation is, THIS book is an eyeopener. May God bless you and guide your steps.]

--'You'll get through this.
It won't be painless.
It won't be quick.
But God will use this mess for good.
Don't be foolish or naive.
But don't despair either.
With God's help, you'll get through this.'[ML]~~

--EVALUATION TRUE RICHES - / OUR TRUE RICHES SHOULD BE IN HEAVEN, TO SPREAD THE GOSPEL, WHILE HERE ON EARTH?

-“And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”
--- 1 John 2:17

--Do you want to know how rich you are? Add up everything you own that money cannot buy, that death nor disaster cannot take away, and then you’ll know just how rich you are. What did you discover? Hopefully, you discovered that it’s time you started laying up true riches. Because all the rest will burn away. If you are putting all of your labor in this world, it’s like rearranging deck chairs on a sinking ship.

--SEEKING THINGS OR SEEKING HIM?

--BIBLE MEDITATION
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” bible Matthew 6:33

--DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Have you ever noticed that along with the command in Matthew 6:34 not to worry, correspondingly there comes a promise from God to take care of us? One of the most frequent promises is that we will be fed—-God will take care of our needs.

Then why does God promise that “all these things will be added unto you.”? So we will not starve? No. Friend, a lot of people who don’t trust God have a pantry full of food. The average unsaved person is thinking about money, homes, cars, clothes, jewelry, etc. Jesus knows we have a one-track mind and cannot serve two masters. If these are the things you are seeking, then you are not seeking the Lord. He is telling us, “You trust Me. Bring all of your attention into trusting Me and doing good, and I’ll take care of you.”

ACTION POINT:
--Today each time you’re tempted to worry, bring your concerns to your Heavenly Father and ask Him to help you trust Him. Remember change is inevitable. Please read Ecclesiastes 3:1-14~

--GOD'S VISION IN GOD'S LAND ~~
--Joshua 21:45 says, “Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.” bible
Joshua and his men went from dry land to the Promised Land, from manna to feasts, from arid deserts to fertile fields. They inherited their inheritance: the glory days of Israel. This is God’s vision for your life. You, at full throttle. You, as victor over the Jerichos and giants.

Paul describes it as a life in which “Christ’s love has the first and last word in everything we do” (2 Corinthians 5:14). A life in which Paul says, “we do not lose heart” (2 Corinthians 4:16). A life defined by grace, refined by challenge, and aligned with a heavenly call. In God’s plan, in God’s land…God’s promises outweigh personal problems. Victory becomes a way of life! Your glory days await you!

--Welcome to the Priesthood

-- Are you 'born-again' of the Spirit of God? (John 3:3) / Are you a Christian, following the Lord Jesus Christ? THEN, you are a chosen child of Jesus, and THEN you must stand for what Jesus represents in His Word. Jesus said, "I and My Father are One." Jesus is GOD!

--BIBLE MEDITATION:
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” 1 Peter 2:9

--DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Christians are a kingdom of priests, so in order to understand what that means, let’s look at what someone had to do to become a priest in the Old Testament.

The first thing the priest did was bathe from head to toe. This symbolized that he was saved (see Titus 3:5). When we are saved, we are bathed from head to toe in Christ’s cleansing blood.

After his bath, the priest received a linen garment, which symbolized the righteousness that is provided by our Lord.

Then he was anointed with oil, which is symbolic of the Holy Spirit.

How encouraging to discover God’s Word flowing from the Old to the New Testament to describe such essential details of the believer.

--ACTION POINT:
Have you been bathed in the cleansing blood? Are you aware you’re wearing a robe (the righteousness of Christ)? The Holy Spirit lives within you. As you go through your day today, be ever mindful: you are a priest—chosen, royal, holy, set apart for Him. ~~

--IMMEDIATELY, WE WILL BE ON SHORE!

“But He saith unto them, ‘It is I; be not afraid..’ Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went.”
--- (John 6:20-21)

“They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service…. These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” bible - (John 16:2, 33)

Andrew Murray said, “God is willing to assume full responsibility for the life totally yielded to Him.” Jesus said, “Be of good cheer. In this world you’ll have tribulation. But I’ve overcome the world.” In this world we encounter tribulation, and it’s growing more, not less, intense. Where is Jesus? Jesus has overcome the world.. That’s what He’s telling you and me.

The spiritual barometer is falling, and all of us who can read the signs of the times know a storm is gathering. The Bible tells us that. But soon our Lord, who has been on the mountain of His glory praying for us, is going to rise from His throne. And then, walking on the water will be child’s play. He’ll come stepping on the clouds. He’ll come in His glory. And those of us who are here on the sea of time will immediately be on the shores of eternity just like that when He comes. Won’t that be a day?

It happened when they received Him into the boat. Have you received Him? Have you trusted Him?
-Adrian Rogers ~
[Don't let another day pass, if you have not yet received Jesus as your Lord and Savior. He is coming. The 'signs of the times' are all around us.

-[By choosing to live in relationship with Jesus Christ, we're no longer slaves to the way of life that ends in spiritual death--eternal separation from God and His lovingkindness. Through Him alone, we can experience freedom and joy. But to be saved, we must confess from our heart that Jesus is Lord, believe that we are sinners saved only by His grace, and ask Him to forgive and receive us. He never turns away a sincere seeker. (Romans 10:9-10)

You can have eternal life now by asking Jesus to become your Savior. Pray a prayer like this or use your own words:

'Lord Jesus, I believe You died so that I might be accepted as a child of God. Please forgive me, help me turn from my sins, and show me how to follow You each and every day. Thank You for saving me and giving me eternal life. It is in Your Name that we pray. Amen.'~~

--OUR CARING AND ABLE FATHER
----(Please Read / 2 Chronicles 20:1-4)

Everyone faces challenges in life. Whether our struggles are financial, vocational, relational, or physical, we can be certain that nobody is exempt. Fortunately, we serve a God who is both interested in our problems and able to take care of them.

When trouble looms, prayer is always a good first step to take. But having a foundation upon which to build our prayers also makes a difference
. Jehoshaphat, the King of Judah, faced an enormous challenge. Three different tribes--the Moabites,Amonites, and Meunites--simultaneously waged war against him. Most leaders would have crumbled under such pressure, or at the very least taken drastic measures, but Jehoshaphat was a wise king. Though afraid, he did not strike out against his enemies.Instead, knowing that God was interested in his dilemma, he "turned his attention to seek the Lord" and proclaimed a fast throughout the land (2 Chron. 20:1-3).

Jehoshaphat also knew that God, who was greater than any earthly problem, had done miraculous things for Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, and Daniel. That same God would help him, too, in his hour of need. We should never underestimate the Lord's interest in our affairs. He helped our ancestors in the Bible, and He can and will help His children today.

It's easy to think our problems are unimportant in the eyes of God, but He doesn't feel that way at all. Whatever concerns us concerns Him. If we, like Jehoshaphat, turn right to God and proclaim His power, He will intervene. And no matter how great our challenges are, God is greater.

--CHANGE IS HERE! This old world has been in a state of change and disarray ever since the Fall in the Garden of Eden. Sure, we've had many good times, and lots of fun, nevertheless, we are growing closer to the return of Christ. Are you ready? Am I? We must keep searching the Scriptures, as Jesus said, "It is they that testify of Me."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
---IN JESUS'S NAME
--The phrase, 'in Jesus’ name', is not an empty motto. It’s a declaration of truth! Your cancer is not in charge, Jesus is. The economy is not in charge, Jesus is. The grumpy neighbor doesn’t run the world–-- 'Jesus, you do! You are the CEO, the President, the King, Supreme Ruler, and Absolute Monarch.
You are the High and Holy Baron, the Czar, the Overlord, and Rajah of all history.' Just speak the word, Jesus!
And pray! When you pray in Jesus’ name, God responds. And since God is good, prayer is good. Since you matter to God, your prayers matter in heaven. You are never without hope, my friend, because you are never without prayer. And when you can’t find the words to say, pull this out of your pocket:
'Father, you are good.
I need help. Heal me and forgive me.
They need help.
Thank you.
In Jesus’ name, amen.'
--THE STORMS OF LIFE~~
-(Please Read/ Genesis 50:15-21)
--When life gets hard, we tend to get upset and wonder how soon the difficulty will end.
But God wants us to focus on Him in times of trouble. As we do, we will discover that He is doing important spiritual work during these “storms.”
**Beliefs. The Bible contains what we need to know about our life in Christ. When circumstances are beyond our control, what we really believe will surface. The depth of our faith in God’s character and promises will become evident, as will any doubts or uncertainties we may have. For example, Joseph revealed strong belief when he acknowledged that God intended his hardships for his good (Gen. 50:20). There will be times when we don’t succeed—like Peter, whose fear led to denying Christ (John 18:25-27)—but we should think of trials as opportunities to grow and deepen our faith.
**Transformation. As God’s children, we are to live our lives in a way that displays Christ’s character. But we are more like jewels in the rough, aren’t we? The heavenly Father can use the storms of life to transform us into His Son’s image.
**Comfort. This blessing is not only for us but also for others. Our Father comforts us in our sufferings and asks that we share what we have received with other people (2 Cor. 1:3-4).
-Difficult times can come from our own mistakes, the schemes of the enemy, or the hurtful actions of others. They can even be ordained by God. Regardless of the source, our Father works in them to benefit us and to bless others. What testimony about Him can you give to a hurting world?
--GOD'S PRESENCE~~
Depression can buckle the knees of the best of us, and a pastor’s wife is no exception.
Years ago my wife Denalyn battled depression. Every day was gray. Her life was loud and busy—two kids in elementary school, a third in kindergarten, and a husband who didn’t know how to get off the airplane and stay home. The days took their toll.
But Denalyn was never one to play games. On a given Sunday when the depression was suffocating, she armed herself with honesty and went to church. 'If people ask me how I’m doing, I’m going to tell them.' She answered each, “How are you” with a candid, “Not well. I’m depressed. Will you pray for me?” Casual chats became long conversations. Brief hellos became heartfelt moments of ministry. She found God’s presence amidst God’s people!
He’s waiting on you, my friend. And he will get you through this!
--GOD'S PLANS ARE BETTER~~
--God uses closed doors to advance his cause! God closed the womb of a young Sarah so he could display his power to the elderly one. He shut the palace door on Moses the prince so he could open shackles through Moses the liberator.
And Jesus…yes, even Jesus knew the challenge of a blocked door. When he requested a path that bypassed the Cross, God said, 'no'. God said 'no' to Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane so he could say 'yes' to us at the gates of Heaven.
God’s goal is people. He will stir up a storm to display his power. He’ll place you in prison so you’ll talk to the jailer. It’s not that our plans are bad but that God’s plans are always better. Your blocked door doesn’t mean God doesn’t love you. Quite the opposite. It’s proof that he does.
---YOUR PILOT HAS SPOKEN~~
--My flight was delayed by storms.
Then over the loudspeaker came a promise: “This is the pilot. I know many of you have connections. You’ll make them. We’re holding your planes. We have a place for you.”
Well, I thought, he wouldn’t say that if he didn’t mean it. So I decided to trust his promise. Other people in the airport weren’t so fortunate. Travelers were scrambling, white faced and worried. Too bad their pilot hadn’t spoken to them. Or perhaps he had and they hadn’t listened.
Your pilot has spoken to you. Will you listen? No, I mean 'really' listen? Let his promises settle over you like the warmth of a summer day. When everyone and everything around you says to panic, choose the path of peace. In this world of broken promises why not do your self a favor and take hold of the promises of God.
--HOW TO STAY THE COURSE AND FINISH WELL~~
--BIBLE MEDITATION:
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7
bible
--DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
cloud9 Do you know the way to finish the course? Keep looking to Jesus.
I’ve been preaching the Gospel for over 50 years, and God knows I have my faults and sins. He also knows I have repented and aim to get right with Him each and every day. I am far from perfect, but I can say that this same God has kept me on course. He has kept me preaching the Gospel.
Finishing the course that God has planned for us is never easy. It takes discipline and hard work. It takes picking ourselves up, dusting ourselves off, and starting over. One of these days you are going to have to look back on your life. And I hope you will be able to say that you fought as a warrior and finished as an athlete.
--ACTION POINT:
“Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…” (Hebrews 12:1b-2a). Keep short accounts with God. Confess quickly. Get back on the track.
---AN UNEXPECTED TIMING~~
--"A thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night."
---(PSALM 90:4 NIV)-- bible
--We are eternal creatures, and we look forward to our glorious future in heaven.
But for now we are participants in time, and much of our emotional energy is invested in what happens here, especially the things that we expect to happen during certain seasons of life. We can become almost enslaved to the timelines of our lives.
We get upset with God when our story isn’t matching those of our peer group, when milestones such as education, career, family, and finances are not met like we thought they would be. Scripture tells us that God’s timing is not like ours, and He is the One who is writing the story of our lives. He has a plan and purposes for you and is sovereign over all things, so don’t allow the calendar to dictate your imagination of what He can do.
**THINK ABOUT IT
Have you experienced seasons when God’s timing was not what you expected? What did you learn about God and about yourself during those times of your life?
**PRAYER
--"Heavenly Father, my times are in Your hands, and You are the stability of my days. Give me grace to steadfastly trust Your timing in my life and to never lose confidence in Your faithfulness to fulfill Your purposes for me. In Jesus’ name, amen."
**Blessings,
-What To Do When Change Comes ~~
----WHEN YOU CAN'T GO ON ~~
--"Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed...
great is His faithfulness." --[Lamentations 3:22-23]
---IN 2006, my dad was diagnosed with a neurological-disease that robbed him of his memory, speech, and control over body movements. He became bedridden in 2011 and continues to be cared for by my mom at home. The beginning of his illness was a dark time. I was fearful; I knew nothing about caring for a sick person, and i was anxious about finances and my mom's health.
The words of Lamentations 3:22 helped me get up many mornings when the light was as gray as the state of my heart: "Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed." The Hebrew word for "consumed" means "to be used up completely" or "to come to an end."
God;s great love enables us to go on, to get up to face the day. Our trials may feel overwhelming, but we won't be destroyed by them because God's love is far greater!
There are many times I can recount when God has shown His faithful, loving ways to my family. I saw His provision in the kindness of relatives and friends, the wise counsel of doctors, financial provision, and the reminder in our hearts that -- one day--my dad will be whole again in Heaven.
If you're going through a dark time, don't lose hope. You will not be consumed by what you face. Keep trusting in God's faithful love and provision for you.
--"Father, help me to keep trusting You.
Open my eyes so I can see Your great love and faithfulness."
---PATIENCE IN THE WAIT ~~
--[Please Read/ James 5:10-11]
----WE MAY THINK our theology and attitude about the Lord are revealed by what we claim to believe. But when our prayers go unanswered and circumstances remain unchanged, the way we wait speaks volumes about our true beliefs.
JOB was a God-fearing man who endured the loss of his children, health, and possessions. Yet he remained faithful to the Lord throughout his ordeal, despite a desperate need to know why he was so afflicted. In the midst of his suffering, Job cried out, "Oh, that my request might come to pass, and that God would grant my hope!" (Job 6:8). Every day was filled with unrelenting pain, but his consolation and joy were that he had "not denied the words of the Holy One" (v.10).
The world around us judges God as unfaith, indifferent, or malicious, but this should never be the case with us. When the Lord remains silent during our times of adversity or confusion, we should go to His Word to discover what it says about His character and ways. Even when our feelings seem overwhelming and our faith starts to falter, we can stand firm on the facts of Scriptures. ~~
---Trusting God's Plan in Trouble ~~
----[Please Read/ Genesis 12:10-20] -- crackthebook
--DOES YOUR FAITH shrivel when you encounter trouble? Perhaps you prayed about a situation and expected God to act according to your desires, but He didn't. Though you were hoping for a smooth path, He gave you one with bumps, twists, and turns, which left you wondering where He was. He promised to care for you, but instead you felt deserted.
These are situations that test our faith, and they are common to all believers. [Abraham, a man with great faith] followed God's instructions to leave home and travel to Canaan. You'd expect the Lord to honor such bold obedience with blessings, but it wasn't long before Abraham faced another faith challenge--a famine. This time, his trust faltered. Instead of believing God would provide, he fled to Egypt and made more foolish and costly decisions.
The next time you're tempted to think that God has let you down, remember that trouble is one of the means He uses to strengthen your believe in Him. When circumstances seem to indicate He doesn't care, stand firmly on the truths of Scripture and fix your eyes on the Lord who's always faithful. ~~
--I Will Trust In the Lord ~~
--"I have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation."
---[Psalm 13:5/ DSV] - angelwing
---THE WORST THING THAT HAS happened to me happened this year. My mother had a stroke. I was afraid she was going to die. It's the most out-of-control I have ever felt in my life. Completely dependent on doctors, and completely powerless to stop the deterioration of the body. We were completely at the mercy of God.
I didn't know how to pray. But I don't know how not to. So I just stayed by her bed, holding her hand and crying, 'Lord Jesus, Son of God, have mercy on us.' I didn't feel much of anything. Looking back now, there was an underlying peace; there always is. I do know Jesus is always with us.
I cannot say I knew what would happen or that I had any sense or assurance of healing,. I didn't. But I had the Rock under my feet: my only hope was Jesus's love. Fragments of Scripture came to mind. "Nothing can separate us from His love." "Greater love has no one than this." "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul." I planted my feet on the Rock that is Jesus Christ.
This time we got to keep her. I don't know why and I don't know what will happen next. But I do know I can trust in Jesus' love and know He will always be with us.
--"Father God, thank You that you never change. You are the same yesterday and today and forever. Help me to keep my eyes and faith firmly on You and your promises, in Christ's Name amen"
