--CASTING YOUR CARES~~ "...casting all your care upon Him; for He cares about you." ----1 Peter 5:6-7 - [Please read]--PAUL reminds us in Philippians to "be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God." There is a kind of care that is excessive to the point of distraction, as Martha exhibited. She was overcome by it, but Jesus corrected her: "Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things." This kind of care or anxiety is to be cast upon the Lord, because God cares for every one of His children. "When he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd." The 'Prodigal Son' knew what genuine care was. "When he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him." Along with Paul's exhortation to "be careful for nothing," Jesus extends His everlasting compassion and gives us an invitation to cast our cares upon Him.~~---- Scripture: 1 Peter 5:6-7; Philippians 4:6; Luke 10:41; 15:20; Matthew 9:36 ~~ --Days of Praise~~ICR
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." [John 14:6]
