-How to Keep Your Resolve / 2014 --Persistence~~ "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." ---Romans 8:1 Over the next week, the gyms are going to become unbearably packed as people rush to kick off their New Year’s resolutions. This enthusiasm will last about 4-6 weeks, and then things will get back to normal as those people decide to give up on those resolutions they were so excited about just a few weeks before. / / In the Christian life, many people tend to lose their motivation as well. They’ve had enough with their old lives and hanging onto their hurts and habits of the past, so they decide to really pursue Christ. Then just a few weeks later, they find themselves in the same old patterns as before. But as you seek a new start, where can you find the divine, determined motivation you need to really take your walk with Christ to the next level? Well, there’s no magic pill you can take or mantra to recite that can replace simply staying committed to what’s important. Persistence is nothing more than starting again every day. So don’t feel discouraged if you’ve tried to start again and failed. Every day is a new day; treat it as so. Don’t be discouraged by your past failures. Start new today! DON’T BE DISCOURAGED BY YOUR FAILURES. STAY COMMITTED TO YOUR NEW LIFE BY SIMPLY STARTING AFRESH EVERY DAY!--PP/JG

--HOW TO START A NEW WORK IN YOU THIS YEAR~~"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." - --2 Corinthians 5:17 ~~THERE was a man by the name of Mel Trotter who was a terrible drunk. Alcoholism was such a problem for him that on one occasion when his wife sent him for medicine for their sick child, he stopped into a bar and spent all the money on booze, and his daughter died. At his daughter's funeral, Mel stood beside her coffin and swore he'd never touch a drink again. Within two hours, he was drunk. He was so desperate for alcohol once, he sold his shoes on a snowy day to buy a drink. Drunk, shoeless, and walking home in the snow, Trotter heard Gospel music from a little storefront Mission. He stumbled through the door and sat down. That night, Mel Trotter walked down the aisle of that little Mission, gave his life to Jesus Christ, and received the grace of God. He became a Minister, and founded Missions to help people recover from substance abuse. God, by His abundant grace, saved Mel Trotter. It doesn't matter where you've been or what you've done, God can save you, too. And not only that, He can transform your life into one that makes a real difference for Him. So as you begin this New Year, commit to Jesus Christ and open yourself to being used in a powerful way in 2014! --Recommit yourself to Christ in 2014 and expect him to use you in a big way. "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me."
