I never knew mercury gets excreted 90% though the fecas as opposed to the urine. And I wonder if that is right what the article talks about in that perhaps the kidneys were starting to get 'diseased' and not being able to excrete as much.

Is that the only way they rated if the mercury was harmful was my urine excreation? What about any wierd symptoms? or did the children not suffer from these?
