If Mary gave birth to a common man why not honor all mothers of prophets. If Jesus was just a prophet then why is there not many Mary's we can revere as blessed. If Jesus was just a common man then why is Mary so revered. Why was Jesus "Conceived by the Holy Spirit; Born of the Virgin Mary then. Why wasen't this common to other Biblical prophets unless.. Mary was blessed and Jesus was special! Jesus birth was supernatural and Jesus birth was not a common birth and Jesus is not just a prophet. How come we are waiting for Jesus to return and we believe that Jesus is a healer. In the name of Jesus what makes Jesus so special and blessed His name is above every other name.

Hello Lynn, I don't understand why you felt it necessary to run 4 different posts early this morning. Why didn't you put it all in one post? And besides all that, what is your basic question? Only God the Father knows why He chose the Virgin Mary to carry His only begotten Son, Who is God in human flesh. I wonder if you believe in the Trinity? If you read the story in the first part of the gospels, you can read the what God the Father wanted revealed through the Angel. All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet Isaiah, "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" ....which means, "God with us." (see Isaiah 7:14) You recall the Genealogy of Jesus- Matthew Chapter 1, Christ was to be born in the lineage of the Patriarchs, and Luke explains 'The Birth of Jesus Foretold'. On Mary's side were all men of God, and on Joseph's side of the fathers, were all different men of God. Yet they all came down to King David. What is your question? The Messiah was to born by a Virgin, in Bethlehem. Why not Mary? God the Father chose her to be the Mother of His only Son, Jesus. I'll wait until you let us know what it is you're talking about?

Hi Abigail, I'm not asking myself a question because I already know the answer. There are those who believe Jesus came from a virgin birth and honor Mary as blessed almost worship her for having Jesus but don't believe Jesus's birth is any more special then lets say another prophet which makes no sense. You are asking some questions that nobody on this earth can answer.... oh yes they can and we know the answer.

Why Would Jesus's Return Be a Major Sign Of Judgement if He Was Just/ Only A Prophet? But He called Himself the Son Of Man? The Son Of Man is a Messianic term that the Jews understood to represent the Messiah like in Daniel. Mary is blessed because she had found 'favor with God'.
Jesus was born (recognized), on both people's side, Mary and Joseph's records prove that they were both of the Kingly line, (Matthew 1:1-15, THEN the Priestly line, (Luke 3:23). This fulfilled prophecy. Of course we know Joseph was not the true father of Jesus, God was, through the Holy Spirit, YET all prophecy must be fulfilled.
If you'll read these scriptures you will find that all the names are NOT the same, until we reach DAVID. This all had to take place to fulfill prophecy.
If you read the post title ("Angels: 11/5 & 11:21) you will note that the Archangel Gabriel told Mary she was favored by God to carry His son.
In Luke 1:4-46= we read that while Mary visited Elisabeth (her relative and mother of John the Baptist), what did Elisabeth say about Mary. "Blessed art thou among all women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb." Mary said (vs 46) "My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. For He hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden; for behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed."
So, therefore to answer your question 'How come Mary is so blessed'? Because Father God chose Mary to be the one woman to carry baby Jesus in her womb.
You use the term, 'If Jesus was only a Prophet.' ....Luke 1 verse 76, "And thou child, (Zarcharias prophecying Jesus) Thou child shalt be called the prophet of the Highest; for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways."

Yes! Totally Correct You are "My Friend!" Jesus was NOT ONLY A Prophet. He is God! He is alive part of the Triune God, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The truth is God is a " tri-unity".
Two invisible (Father and Spirit) and one visible Jesus/Yeshua.

The word "trinity" derived from the latin word trinitas means " threeness. Holy, Holy, Holy, is our God Almighty.
The Father even calls Jesus God.

The Old Testament was written long before the New Testament.
Simply put, "one" in the Bible does not always mean numerical quantity.
Depending on the scripture, "one" can often mean unity.
