My mind working overtime here. I'm getting my fillings replaced next month, but while reading for 4 months, I've been thinking about my son. Not sure where he fits in with mild, yet significant issues. I'm now thinking that my son may have mercury toxicity from my 7 fillings and perhaps vaccines. (born 1999) My 7 yo son when he was 4-6 went through daily crying over small things like he couldn't straighten out his blanket or if someone at school cleaned up his stuff during clean up. Sun in eyes, couldn't find bookbag fast enough, couldn't open lunch. Life's little frustrations were overly upsetting to him. He was sensitive to loud tv noise like at end of video. He even was afraid to try the tv knobs in case he hit a wrong one.
Afraid to try new things. He doesn't want to try to learn something new b/c he doesn't know how. He has outgrown the crying stuff and is able to control his emotions much much better and is excellent academically. He is behind in gross motor like catching, throwing, kicking and has no interest in trying. He is doing so much better with controlling emotions, but he is still a sensitive but seemingly happy little guy except when under pressure. I'm torn between having him tested for metals (won't go back to pediatrician "factory"...they even vaccinate when kids are sick now, I'm not going to have my 5 yo girl get her last shots for kindergarten) and what if he has high mercury and we chelate and he loses his excellent reading ability or the emotional control he has gained...He saw a therapist for 6 months at 5 1/2 to help him deal with his feelings when he started to get upset. His 1st grade teacher recently said he is a perfectionist and works with him to take deep breaths... He is really smart and with sense of humor, but the emotional stuff and socially does not really connect with friends other than pokemon battles and pretend stuff like that.
I'm very sports active and remember enjoying kickball at this age. He has no interest to even learn to dribble and pass, yet gets upset in gym when he drops the ball. Am I missing something obvious here? Can anyone relate? Anyone use a naturapath for their kids? Don't know who to see now for checkups. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
