Hi, I just got his Amalgam Illness book and it makes sense on paper. His approach is suppose to allow you to function while detoxing and he does not recommend monthly DMPS injections. I get my fillings out next month and plan on waiting to see what happens while supplementing with Algin, Vit C, etc per Russ's suggestion. According to Dr. Cutler's book, I should start to go downhill in about 3-4 months and get worse than before removal by 6-9 months if I don't chelate. If I do chelate his way, it's projected to go downhill a little at 4-6 months (but not as bad as before removal) and then improve alot after 9 months and beyond. If my experience roughly follows his curve, that will lend more credibility. Anyone experiece problems with his protocol? I've had bouts of depression, but nothing as serious as I'm reading here. My main thing is fatigue, short-term memory loss and can't seem to get things done, house, laundry...brain fog. After reading Dr. Cutler's book, he outlines these symptoms and helpful supplements and tests. I'll know first hand in a few months though if it works for me.

I've got his book also and read alot of posts about his protocal.
ATM I've got my own protocal that I've taken from all my research. I may try Cutler's in the future if I dont get the results I'm looking for. Cutler's program seems a bit challenging with the every 3 hours thing.
I personally am not going to take any DMPS or what not; read some posts about some bad reactions etc from them. I rather stick to some natural chelating and some ALA.
Some things that Cutler's program doesnt include is the use of garlic and cilantro or even chlorella. He actually says not to use this and emphisizes this.
I think these things can help you chelate although they are harder to measure in terms of amount you need etc ... But for me; I rather take natural things (and things that are cheeper then something like injections or anything like that).
Check out the yahoo mercury autism forum also; lots of good posts on parents treating their kids (mostly using the Cutler program).
Just make sure you read as much as you can on the subject; here and curezone.com are some great places and also the yahoo forums.

If you are using DMSA, I would recommend starting out at 12.5mg. I open my capsules and dump half of the powder out. I have read too many reports of people having problems starting with 25 to 50 mg.

There is a Yahoo Group of people who are self chelating. It might be helpful to you as many of them use Andy Cutler's protocol. Type in the word "Adult-Metal-Chelation" after you join Yahoo Groups. Be sure to use the hyphens.

Thank you very much! It's still amazing to me that we seem to be alone in our endeavors with respect to mainstream medicine.

haha ya I completely agree ...
I cant even convince my parents or some of my friends to take a look at some health things (and I'm in the health realted field). That's how engrained they are in their thinking.
All starts when one is young with the commercials/advertising etc etc ...

Arthur Schopenhauer, the 19th century philosopher, said:
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.
