I am taking Algin but lately I have been feeling really terrible. Maybe b/c I have tried a couple liver cleanses & it seems as though they did more harm than good. I guess that my body just can't take it.
I was wondering about DMSP. Would it help for me to start this also? Where do I go to initiate this? I live in CT & haven't had much luck at all with doctors. I probably have wasted over $10,000 in doc visits & have gotten no where but an empty pocket book.
Thanks!

Lynn, I would be sure to approach this methodically. Find out what makes you feel horrible. It's surprising how consistent the patterns are once we start paying attention to them. DMPS is pretty harsh and if you're not feeling strongly, you may want to carefully consider if that is the right path. Let me give you a link to some practical detox information that may help: Getting Started with A Detox Plan Feel free to post any questions you may have concerning this article. Detox is a difficult subject. I like to detox gently so I can live in the mean time and to help prevent redistribution of mercury during the detox process. If you do decide to get DMPS, make sure you get a 50 gram I.V. drip immediately after. It makes all the difference in the world. See My Mercury Story for details. Keep us posted.

I have taken DMPS and it is hard on the body. Right now I'm taking algin and vitamin C plus monthly DMPS infusions. I started out taking weekly infusions but they tore me apart.

Instead of doing the DMPS, I think that I will try a different approach - just plain detox.
I have been taking vitamins & supplements on a daily basis including Vitamin C, multi-vitamin, Vitamin D, & Ginger. But it seems that I need to take more after reading the detox information.
Another question:
Weight gain / bloating. Does Mercury Poisoning cause this? I am about 8-10 pounds over my "normal" weight. My stomach sticks out like I have a big gut. I just can't seem to get rid of it no matter what I do. I don't exercise or go for long walks (except housework) b/c it just makes me feel worse - extremely tired. And when it is cold outside - that is a whole different story.
Thanks!

Yes, mercury causes bloating and general weight gain.
I had a 32 waist, was very fit, played racketball daily, went biking, etc. When the mercury symptoms began to appear, within just a few years, I went from 32 waist to 42 and no amount of exercise would reverse it.
Now, I'm not exercising (shame on me) but will soon and I've been losing weight slowly but steadily since my amalgam removal. I've done short spurts of exercising and have seen quick visible weight loss that absolutely would not occur when I was in stage 3 toxicity.
In fact, it's my personal belief that the overweight epidemic in this country is partly due to mercury.

About your stomach sticking out, several years ago I fairly suddenly developed the same thing. I couldn't even suck my gut in. I looked very pregnant. Then, months later, it just went away. Pretty strange!

It may be that your body has started detoxing and so your blood-mercury levels are elevated more than before. This would be good in the sense that you're detoxing but bad in the sense that more mercury is being redistributed. This weight gain can have several causes, among those are low thyroid. You could try something that supports the thyroid, and you should try drinking plenty of non-fluoridated water daily. As far as a definite specific cause of the bloating stomach; I really don't know, wish I did. Thanks.

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> [color:"red"] [/color] Lynn, I see on this forum alot of people are going through hec with the DMPS. My suggestion is don"t do it. Some people have gotton so sick and than ended up with permanent damage of all kinds!!! I read this on the internet, in many different places.
I almost died from all the metals and 17 amalgams I had for 25 years. But even before I got all the toxins out of my mouth I believe I would of died if I did not chelate with The LL's magnetic bentonite clay bathes and especially the Dermamed deap peat Moorbath. I'm still chelating with these after I got the metals out of my mouth . Each and every day I'm getting better and better as far as the symptoms of heavy metals go.These bathes are very gentle and yet very affective too.
I hate to keep reading about how so many people are suffering from DMPS. I believe you body is trying to tell you something and you should listen to it. DMPS chelates too fast to be healthy. If you want to know where to get these bathes that did a world of good with no side affects than click to," DMPS and suicidal thoughts," on this forum. Then read my e-mail and it wil tell you where to get these inexpensive bathes on the internet.
Keep taking your anti oxidants, vitamins and minerals, chlorella, amino acids, enzemes etc. at the same time too. Also please note that if you have high blood pressure, don't use the Moorbath. Theses bathes are gentle and effective without the terrible side affects of DMPS!!![/b]
Good luck!
