That is surprising...unless there is a history of varicose veins or vein weakness in the family? Also, certain medications can contribute to vein weakness by depleting the body of vitamin C. Of course, mercury will do this also! And diet is another factor...sugar, sodas, junk food, etc. all deplete the body of vitamin C, which has to be obtained from the food we eat.

Whatever the cause, vitamin C and especially bioflavonoids are very, very important for vein health, because it helps keep the vein walls strong.

I do have a family history of vein problems and circulatory disorders, so I take a couple of things that might also help your son:

Vitamin C - Citrus Bioflavonoids
Vari-Gone capsules
Vari-Gone Skin Cream
Thai-Go

I take at least 3-4 grams of vitamin C daily. The Vari-Gone capsules and cream are specifically formulated to help strengthen the veins and improve circulation, while the Thai-Go is also full of antioxidants, vitamin C and bioflavonoids.

Hope this helps! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
