Did or does anyone else ever have a sensation in the back of your head while detoxing mercury? Is this normal?? It feels literally like something is draining at two points in the back of my lower head. It is strange. Please email me if you are experiencing this too. talkn4fun2@aol.comI had a lobster dinner the other night and thats when it started again. I usually don't eat lobster, and I think that thing was loaded with mercury. I noramlly eat organic but I do love seafood. Living by the ocean, I am tempted to eat it!!...but lobster is now offf my list!!! Not worth the pain!! FYI.... I still have 2 amalgrams to go...the rest were taken out by holistic dentist. It's been a rough road but I can tell a difference now. God bless all of you out there going through this horrible ordeal. I have found through this that educating yourself is powerful and the things I have learned are so valuable. I am glad I am still young and can hopefully have a healthy life now!! I also found a natural Dr (md) he is a life saver too. Happy days are ahead!! Hang in there y'all! CJ talkn4fun2@aol.com

Haven't experienced this sensation you're speaking of. When I eat seafood, I usually just feel brainfog and a little low on energy. If I take Algin however, there are no (zero) symptoms whatsoever.

YES, I had that too! I had it before I removed my amalgams and for a few months after removal.
It was at the lower back of the head, almost where the area of the head is attached to the neck, and it was on both sides. This area was also tender to touch in addition to the draining/hallow feeling...... I had actually forgotton all about this symptom, but it bothered me a lot as I even went to a chiropractor and a physiotherapist before I discovered it was heavy metal related <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Me too!
Ive never suffered from headaches in my life, im about a month post removal but for about the last week ive been suffering from a chronic ache at the back of my head, the base of my skull. I thought it was the algin cause it starte a day or two after i started taking it but i think somehow the mercury is being cleaned out of my system and is now leaching out of my brain. Russ, do you think this could be the cause? My memory improved after removal quite noticably but now im battling again. Not sure why this is happening.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm not sure why you would be going through this again. Algin helps the vast majority of people but I do find someone here and there who seem to have a bad reaction to it, but I don't know why. About the pain in the back of the neck... Some people seem to feel an electrical kind of pain while others seem to have muscle aches. My business partner had very tight neck muscles that we eventually found was caused by mercury-induced magnesium deficiency. She does much better with Magnesium supplements. As far as the electrical sensations go, I just don't know. It's amazing how often I hear about electrical sensations in different parts of the body by those who are mercury toxic. If you find out please let me know. Thanks.
