I have been away for sometime, due to pregnancy. Now I was about to deliver and I come to have this thinking.

Since I was about to embark on my treatment on mercury removal prior to pregnancy (but I have to stopped due to pregnancy), I am aware that the possibility of mercury crossed the placenta and affected my baby.

I was thinking to keep the placenta for heavy metal testing (to check the level of mercury passed. I was wondering whether it is necessary (i have no idea who to ask around here to be honest).

My problem is still the same: I couldn;t find doctor nearby (the one I was supposed to start treatment with is located 12 hour flying in another continent).

Also, since I am planning of breastfeeding, I wonder what is the best choice (the lesser evil one). The doctor I engaged told me that I can only start my treatment once my nursing period is over. I do wonder should I max out the nursing period up to 2 years (regardless that I have mercury in my body) or I just keep it to minimum 6 months/ 1 year? I don't like the idea of infant formula milk to tell the truth. I still think mother's milk (even though my body contained mercury) still a lesser evil choice.

Anyone got any idea?

Thanks in advance:)
