Hi,

This is regarding my wife..She has around 7 Amalgam fillings(the first one being in 2000) and 3 composite fillings.
She complained to me about hair loss from 2004..But, her hair always grew.So..i just ignored it..From the past one year, her scalp became visible and the hair loss is diffuse.
Took all the tests(Iron,Thyroid,Harmones,Cortisol).
Everything is fine.
The only thing she is deficient is in Vitamin D3.
She also has Insomnia and Fatigue from the past 2 years.
She also started getting lot of grey hair..

I thought she is losing hair due to her sensitivity to DHT..Then, one day i asked her to take multivitamin.She took it and her hair loss drastically reduced.It continued for 2 weeks and then her shedding picked up. Even if she take a small spoon of Blackstrap molasses.her shedding decreases drastically and then picks up.

One day she took 2000 IU Vitamin D3 and then she complained about stomach upset and then lost lot of hair.

I am showing to a doctor(Functional medicine) and he took Urine(6 hrs) as well hair analysis test. From the initial analysis, he told that he can see little bit of Mercury,Bad bacteria, Free radicals(little) and then Stress as hyper.
He also said that it's dangerous to take out Amalgams as it will cause lot of issues.

I asked many people in the forums and not even a single one experienced this.

Right now, she is not taking any medicines.She is planning to take Vitamin C..

Does any one know why it is happening??

Removing amalgams is well accepted as the best way to stop mercury exposure from amalgams (obviously), so as long as they are removed by a dentists who does it safely, many recover from mercury symptoms.

I have an appointment with the doctor coming week.
He is listed in iaomt site.
I will speak to him and ask about the procedure of amalgam removal,the steps to be followed and the cost.
I believe after amalgam procedure there will be more mercury in the blood(that has a chance to increase her hair loss).
I am scared as i am not sure how her body reacts once all the amalgams are removed.
I thought it's easy..Just remove amalgams and the problem will be resolved..After reading many posts here, removing amalgams is just the beginning.

For now, can she take Vitamin C.. At least, it will fight with whatever mercury is there in blood?. I hope it doesn't start taking the mercury from the tissues.

Please let me know if you have any other suggestions so that the symptoms are reduced till we get Urine, hair analysis results and the amalgams are removed..
