Yes, you may have covered this topic before but this one is more based on the questions of: What kind of a God is He about His heart and His charactor and how He care's about the thoughts and the heart of His people.
And His strange and unusual act..

For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work,
his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.
Isaiah 28:21

That even that is done out of love and not who He is but what He must do to save us from ourselves and our own destruction of His creation.
It gives God no pleasure in having to destroy the wicked but because He has to do that so others can live without sickness, pain, death and destruction...
Is not something He takes pleasure in doing but what He must do as a righteous King.
And God knows this world needs one!
So much injustice and hate in this world and leaders that are corrupt.
People in general that are corrupted by this world what it offers them.
And then there is the cosmic dilemma of the fallen angels and the satanic one He can't let them take over the world as well.
And from all of that..
By the way of the cross we are born again!
It's always a beautiful topic.
It's a story of God's love for His Creation.
