As God is fair and it would not be fair to Judge anybody before the Great White Throne Of Judgment.
I just don't believe that God is going to put anyone into the pit before the Judgement.
That would not be fair and we serve a just God!
This is just the way I see the correct interpretation to be.
And the way others read it if God is truly fair and just.
But I do believe in there will be a Hell.
A Burning Lake Of Fire!
It's just a matter of when?
And that God will Judge fairly and when God say's He will do so.
At the Appointed Time and place.

It's at the end of the world that the wicked are cast into a furnance of fire.

As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Jude 1:7

I believe it is appointed for then.
That's just what I believe.
Also Pastor Arnold Murray talks about this subject too.

Here is Pastor Arnold Murray on the subject and on is there a burning hell right now he believes absolutely not it's a future event.
So do I.
God is always fair and He is not going to EXECUTE somebody throw them into the pit until there is a Judgement or a Trial.
Otherwise it would not be fair or just.
That's just how I see it.

I don't know Carmans take on the when of Hell but I believe in a fair Judge there will be a trial and we do have a merciful God as we all fall short of the glory of God but I believe it will be at the appointed time.

A Burning Lake Of Fire!

Hi there Lynn,

In regards to your statement, "God is fair and it would not be fair to judge anybody before the Great White Throne Judgment, etc....."

I would imagine that you did watch the video, I posted "Life Beyond the Grave", by Tamara Laroux, on the 700 Club, ....perhaps you missed her words, regarding the 'fire of hell'??

She said The human mind cannot understand spiritual things. That is true. Also she said the "burning of hell" is not like the FIRE we are so familiar with. It is like a "sulfuric type burning". An unquenchable, unending, agonizing painful suffering. I agree with that, other verses would back this up.

Beyond any shadow of doubt, I do believe, "To be absent from the body, (earthly death), is to be "present with the Lord" (for Christians). Of course the flip side of that would be "presence of hell", for the UNbelievers.

You mentioned you believe God is fair. Can you show me that verse in Scripture? God is Holy and Righteous and Just. Yes, the Great White Throne Judgment comes after the Lord returns to conquer the devil. However, immediately after the body dies, the spirt must go somewhere. It lives on eternally.

For our Lord to be JUST, means He is absolutely RIGHT! His ways are not our ways. Please read Isaiah 55:7-9. (v.8) "For my thoughts are not your thoughts neither are your ways my ways,.." No human being can know the thoughts (mind), of the Lord. We know His Word, the Bible, but He alone is the Judge.

The Jehovah Witnesses and LDS (Mormons), do not believe in Hell, as the Bible teaches. / Have a nice day.

I notice the date on this youbube to be 2007. I surely hope Carman has made some drastic changes since then!
Excuse me, I do not agree with one word of Carman. I believe this man to be one of the most "carnal Christians", in the Contempory music business. He came up here, gave a Concert that must have cost $$$$ hundreds of thousands of dollars, to shoot fireworks, have ghostly scenes, actors, etc. If that isn't the most UNgodly way to win souls for Christ, I don't know what is.

Several of the Christians got up and walked out, including our Pastor, and all of our congregation. Others followed.

Lynn, God is Holy. He tells us, "Be ye holy even as I am holy." Several other verses speak to this same subject. I know we are not completely holy on this sinful earth, nevertheless, we are to strive to be holy, as our conduct, being representatives of Christ's followers.

"According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love." (Eph 1:4)
----
I don't know why you are bringing up an "appointed time", of course that is true. God does everything in His appointed divine time. "It is appointed unto man once to die and after that the judgment." AMEN! I must do some things now. If you want to carry on this subject, fine. Let's do it Biblically, to God be the glory, honor and praise.

God is NOT "fair", as the world calls fair. God is Holy, Righteous, and Just. God does NOT send anyone to Hell, THEY CHOOSE THAT WAY. He always gives the person , "choice".

The only way to get into the Kingdom is by Jesus' shed blood on the cross, our confession of sinfulness, and our need for a Saviour, JESUS! (Romans 10:9-10)~

Hi Abigail, ((((( Smiles ))))

Just is a good word and someone who is just is also fair.
I believe in the word reserved for Judgement.
Also Malachi 4:1,3 and Psalm 37:10,20.
I believe in Hell but also I believe in a Judgement.
A fair trail and that's what the Carmen parody was about.
It doesn't cover all of the subject on this here.
Will share more on this subject later.

Ecc 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

I am neither Mormon or Jehovah Witness.
I believe in the Triune God.
And not planet whatever it is the Mormons believe in.

Ezekiel 28:18-19
Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

Ashes to Ashes Dust To Dust.
I believe only God is immortal.
1 Timothy 6:16
He alone has immortality

For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yes, you shall diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
Psalm 37:10

I believe in the lake of fire a Hell a place of burning and how long it will burn for day and night until it burns out.
Like the Valley of Hinnom it will burn constantly until it burns out.
I look at the words Hell is translated from.
That's how I define it.
I don't believe in Billions of people screaming in torment forever when God say's it will be no more forever that I believe.
The enemies of the lord shall vanish into smoke and they shall vanish away."
Psalm 37:10,20.
That's what I believe to be true.

If you were God, would you delight in tormenting sinners in hell?

I don't think so and it is something I don't think God wants to go on and on forever. Image a Billion people screaming now that would be tormenting and I believe in never shalt thou be any more.
God of course choose's all to choose life people choose to go to hell. But I don't believe the torture goes on forever and the word forever in the King James doesn't always mean literally forever. I just don't see it like that.

-What Jesus Said about Hell
-By Henry Morris, Ph.D.

"And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell" (Matthew 5:29).
People do not like to think about hell--especially those who are headed there! But that doesn't mean it isn't real.

We need to know that the Lord Jesus Himself often warned about the reality of hell. Our text is in His Sermon on the Mount, a message often quoted because of its wonderful promises. Hell is also mentioned in the same sermon in Matthew 5:22 and 5:30. Jesus also stressed in that sermon that "broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat" (Matthew 7:13). He later warned that we should "fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell" (Matthew 10:28).

The religious leaders of the day were not exempt. To them, speaking of their religious hypocrisy, He said, "Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?" (Matthew 23:33).

Hell is also a place of fire or possibly of some fearful environment that could only be described adequately under the metaphor of fire. "Depart from me," He will say to the lost souls at His coming judgment, "into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels" (Matthew 25:41).

Hell is called a "lake of fire" by Christ in John's (perception/ spiritual revelation) of Him on His great white throne, where He will have to say, "But the fearful, and unbelieving, . . . and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death" (Revelation 21:8).

Hell will indeed be very real--eternally real! Since Christ is both our Creator and our Savior, who died for our sins and defeated death by His resurrection, it is foolish for anyone to reject His revelation about hell.

-Fear of Fire
-By: Henry Morris, Ph.D.

"And others save with fear; pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh." (Jude 23)

This exhortation refers both to attempting to "save" unbelievers by warning them of hell and to warning believers against the influence of apostates.

The ultimate hell (Greek gehenna) is not the same as the present hell (Greek hades), although eventually all those lost souls now in the latter will eventually be "cast into the lake of fire" (Revelation 20:15). Both are fearsome places of real fire. The inhabitants of Sodom, for example, have been "suffering the vengeance of eternal fire" (Jude 7) for thousands of years, though not yet in that ultimate hell. Also the rich man mentioned by Jesus was in Hades and yet was being "tormented in this flame" (Luke 16:23-24).

Both "hells" have literal fires, but it is hard to understand how material fires could torment non-material souls. There is a clue in James 3:6, which calls an unbridled human tongue "a fire, a world of iniquity: . . . set on fire of hell." Since the tongue is not literally on fire, but can be extremely destructive in human relationships, the implication is that hell itself is a "world of iniquity."

starThis aspect of hell makes it even more fearsome than literal fires could ever be. The existence there of billions of unredeemed souls, eternally separated from the holiness and love of God, where all who are "unjust" and "filthy" will continue forever to increase in their unrighteous and filthiness (Revelation 22:11), and in the constant presence also of the devil and his angels, is unspeakably appalling. Yet that was their choice when they rejected or ignored the infinite love of Christ. No wonder that Jude urges us to warn them of such awful fire and seek to save them with fear if they won’t respond to the compassionate love of Christ. Peter Described Hell Fire, (((( Smiles ))))

The elements shall melt with a fervent heat.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
2 Peter 3:10-13

The wicked is reserved to the day of destruction.
The fire is going to engulf and burn up all the works of man the Lord is going to baptise the world by fire!
How could there "shall be no more death sorrow crying or pain
Revelation 21:4
If several billion people where being tormented in fire.
In pain.
God said there shall be no more.
Eternal life is a reward but the second death awaits the wicked.
They are devoured, consumed, they persish, they will not be, they are destroyed.
That's what the Bible says.

Plus, even the Jerusalem Bible in a footnote acknowledges that the rich man and Lazarus is a parable.
It's a story.
It was told to and meant for a Jewish audience.
And water on a fingertip a mere drop would evaporate and not bring relief it has no historical reference it is a parable directly meant for a Jewish audience.
It should be interpreted in that way.
Pastor Doug use to be Baptist and I was Baptist too.
But I see more like this now too.

Plus he is Jewish as well and now Christian.
He see's it also from a Jewish perspective because it was a Parable directed to a Jewish audience.
Every Jew wanted to be in Abraham's bosom.
It's a symbol of the Jewish nation.
And people in Heaven and Hell are not going to talk to each other.
That would not be Heaven at all that would be torture.

Greetings Lynn,

I have already given all the information and Bible verses that I believe to be the true explanation of your 'Subject'.

Also I have "SpeedmacPC" that I installed from Russ'computer helps, and just this morning it informed me that there were 2503 items that needed fixing. I do not use a lot of the internet addresses, unless I feel comfortable with the security. So, therefore, I will not be reading all these links you've posted. No offense. I read so much stuff.

The Bible interprets itself. I hope and pray you have a good Christian Commentary in your home to refer to regarding such matters.
**So, I'll exit this post now, as it is 'YOUR' post and I refuse to argue regarding the Word of God.
Lastly, Please do NOT believe everything you read on the Internet. JESUS IS LORD! amen

-Question: "Is God fair?"

Answer: Fortunately for us, God is not fair. Fairness would mean that everyone receives exactly what he or she deserves. In many people’s minds, fairness is everyone being treated the same. If God were completely fair, we would all spend eternity in hell paying for our sin, which is exactly what we deserve. We have all sinned against God (Romans 3:23) and are therefore worthy of eternal death (Romans 6:23). If we received what we deserve, we would end up in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:14-15). But God is not fair; instead, He is merciful and good, so He sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross in our place, taking the punishment that we deserve (2 Corinthians 5:21). All we have to do is believe in Him and we will be saved, forgiven, and we will receive an eternal home in heaven (John 3:16).

However, despite God’s loving grace, no one would believe in Him on his own (Romans 3:10-18). God has to draw us to Himself in order for us to believe (John 6:44). God does not draw everyone, but only certain people He has sovereignly chosen (Romans 8:29-30; Ephesians 1:5, 11). This is not “fair” in our eyes because it appears God is not treating all people equally. However, God does not have to choose anyone. Again, it would be entirely fair for everyone to spend eternity in hell. God saving some is not unfair to those who remain unsaved, as they are receiving precisely what they deserve.

Those whom God has chosen are receiving God’s love and grace. But, when God draws our hearts and opens our minds, we all have the opportunity to respond to the revelation of the creation (Psalm 19:1-3), as well as the conscience God has put within us (Romans 2:15), and turn to God. Those who do not will receive what they truly deserve because of their rejection of Him. Those who reject Him receive the punishment that is fair (John 3:18, 36). Those who believe are receiving far more, and much better, than what they deserve. No one, though, is being punished beyond what he or she deserves. Is God fair? No. Thankfully, God is much more than fair! God is gracious, merciful, and forgiving--but also holy, just, and righteous.

Yes, (((( Smiles ))))

Thankfully, God is more then just fair as in God is also fair and just in His Judgements.
Yet, He is a God of mercy too so whatever God decides will be fair.
In His forgiveness or in His Judgements.
But God will be a Just Judge when that time comes.
And God also wants to get rid of sin as in it's His stange act what he will eventually do.
I don't believe the Bible states that He set up an eternal torture area for us and the Bible is a translation with certain words used based on a translation of the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures.
And it also depends on the audience that the scripture was trying to relay the message to.
I don't believe Heaven would be Heaven and a new Heaven and Earth where death and pain and suffering will be no more is compatable with someone asking God how much longer does Grandma have to suffer for in her eternal screams hasen't Grandma already suffered enough?
Now that truly would be Hell for those in Heaven to see their loved ones being eternally tortured like that knowing God could stop it at anytime as He is Sovereign.
Isn't He?
I don't think it has to be an eternal burning for people to get the point as just burning in general for whatever length of time is painful enough to want to avoid.
Some think if it's not a billions and billions of years of burning torture other's may not want to avoid it.
They will not get the point.
But even burning for 60 seconds is a very very painful experience.
The Bible say's hell fire turns people to ashes and even this person see's what I see.
The word translated Hell and how the Bible describes it doesn't look eternal to me or lots of other Christians as well.

Hell is a Lie part 1

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDOZ1JxtHT4&feature=g-vrec

Hell is a Lie part 2

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aU0tSVSX-XE&feature=relmfu

For others to view if they choose to but weither one see's it as an eternal burning or a how ever long it takes burning there is going to be a burning for sure.
I do believe in that for sure.

I don't think there is one single soul burning in hellfire today because I don't think God would punish a person before their Judgement day plus real live people not just spirits well enter into hell.
It will be both spirit and body so someone would need to be in a bodily form first as Matthew 5:30 and Matthew 10:28 read.
So it would have to be after the resurrection when God put's people back together in that form again as the Bible does talk about a resurrection to come.
Like in John 12:48 it says they will enter hellfire at the end of the world not one day sooner.
I believe the wicked are obilterated in hellfire.
That's how the Scriptures read to me.
I don't believe they will live forever in misery.
Plus Grant Jefferey also believes that hell is empty that Satan is not in hell yet but between earth and heaven accusing us of sin to God.
Satan is not in charge of Hell but Jesus is as Jesus has the keys of Hades and of death but Satan is the prince of the air lots of deception going on up there now.
Chemtrails and this U.F.O thing is Satanic.
Now they are even saying the moon is changing lots of strange things going on these days in the sky.
And I think it all has to do with Satan being the ruler of this world and the prince of the air.
John 12:31 and Ephesians 2:2.
That just makes more sense to me.

Was watching TLN and they had a really interesting program on called God's Courtroom.
And in this program on God's Courtroom the words where used that God is righteous and fair and his judgement is perfect and just. And in that context the word fair is the meaning I was trying to convey but yes...
It's true that God is fair and not in what the world may see as fair because even guilty people can see going to jail as quite unfair to them. Even takeing candy away fom a child who has ate to much may seem unfair to that child even though the parent may see it as a good thing.
But God will judge the world fairly but not what we humans may consider as fair but with a fair trial.
It will be just.
That should be pointed out the context of God's fairness and this film does just that, interesting film.

wow

There is no such thing as annihilationism, universalism, nor inclusivism.

Hell is a real place of torment for those who reject Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

"Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven. (Matther 10:32-33)/ JESUS

That Is A Fact!
Hell is a real place of torment for those who reject Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
But only the righteous will dwell in the New Heavens and a New Earth and if as written..
For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
Isaiah 65:17
and
2 Peter 3:13
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness.

So where will all the people that will be burning for billions and billions of years be if not in a new earth or in the new heavens?
Will the former things pass away.
The Bible says so that it will all be made new again.

Psalm 37:10
For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

Malachi 4:3
For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
4:3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

Ashes to ashes dust to dust all things will be made new again and no one will be suffering anymore.
Not Even the wicked.
All pain and suffering will be former things that will pass away.

starYour posts remind me of the "Screwtape Letters" by C. S. Lewis. I'll C&P a synopsis of this.

-Synopsis of the Screwtape Letters

"The Screwtape Letters" is fiction. But only fiction in the sense that the characters and the dialogue sprang from the imagination of one of the greatest modern Christian writers. Yet in our terrestrial reality the issues confronted in this book play out in our lives every day.

The book contains thirty-one letters from Screwtape to his nephew, Wormwood, who is screwtape's underling in fiendishness. Screwtape is an upper-level functionary in the complex bureaucracy of the underworld. The "Screwtape Letters" are friendly advice from this elder statesman to a front-line tempter on how to procure the soul of his "patient", a young Christian man just trying to live out his everyday life.

We get the letters only from one side of the correspondence (Screwtape's), yet the story of the meanderings of the Christian "patient's" soul is clearly read between the lines. The letters begin with Wormwood's failure to keep his subject from becoming a Christian. The urbane Screwtape informs him that, although this is an alarming development, his patient is by no means lost to the dark forces of evil.

World War II serves as the backdrop for the Letters. Yet war and strife do not play a significant roll in the work. The book is about more everyday and universal problems. Problems every individual must deal with even today.

Thus, each letter addresses various aspects of the travails of the human soul and how the devil tempts that soul away from goodness and toward evil - not evil on a grand scale, but evil on a petty scale. They show how evil can seep into a Christian's relationships with friends and family, in his views on the church, even in his practice of prayer.

As each letter unfolds, we find the Christian "patient" slipping more and more out of the hands of Wormwood and his temptations. Screwtape's advice to the tempter becomes more firm and yet more subtle. And, by degrees, we come to see the workings of evil in our own hearts. "The Screwtape Letters" is a book that entertains while it instructs. It is a book to be treasured and studied.

-Lynn,
Please DO NOT believe everything you read on the internet. And DO NOT BELIEVE ALL the teachings by Pastor Arnold Murray. He is totally missing the truth of scripture regarding Hell.

I have a PM to you (about 10 days ago), regarding much of this post of yours and the insight of our Administrator, Russ. He confirms the fact that Arnold Murray is a good Bible teacher, yet he misses the very fact of Hell being total torment to the unbelievers. ALL people have a choice to make, be it the Lord Jesus, or Atheism, agnosticism, or annihilation-(which seems to be where I believe you are missing the TRUTH. Correction, YOU ARE missing the truth of what Scripture tells us.)

Discernmment is much needed in these areas where we simply DO NOT WANT TO BELIEVE that a person who rejects Christ will live eternally in Hell's tormenting fire/ (an everlasting torment that our finite minds cannot comprehend.)
We all are growing and learning. I DO NOT by any means wish to degrade you. Let's learn together.....I'm going to make a post now by Max Lucado on the topic of Hell, "Jesus and the Fact of Hell." I hope you'll read it, prayerfully.

As the Synopsis of Screwtaps Letter's is informing us that Satan is a deceiver. That is precissely what he is doing today. Through the Jehovah Witnesses, and LDS , Buddhism, etc, etc. There will be FEW in heaven and MANY in Hell. JESUS IS THE AUTHOR and FINISHER OF OUR FAITH; Either we believe Him, or as Eve did in the Garden of Eden, listen to Satan.

Hi Abigail, (((( Smiles )))

Yes, JESUS IS THE AUTHOR and FINISHER OF OUR FAITH and Hell's tormenting fire is real!
And what I base how I read it on is not by Screwtape letter's or by Pastor Murray alone though the blotted out he talks about I do in that God can destroy both body and soul in Hell the Bible says it and I believe it as well as the scriptures that speak of ash's, consumed, devoured, burned up and stubble.
God is a consuming fire and on the ashes of it all He will create the new heavens and a new earth. And the former thing's will be passed away. We will not be watching people on fire between a gulf like in the Parable of Lazerus a Parable.
I believe the wicked are eventually obilterated in hellfire.
How long will Hellfire burn?
Some may burn longer then others but no one deserves to burn longer then Satan does.
The age-ending "fire," then, will convert the bodies of all the wicked to ASHES -- including that of Satan the devil which will become ashes under our God's feet as this final age-ending fire will destroy all the wicked, root and branch!
All gone then all made new.
When a person read's Scripture these verse's are in there and our Bible King James or other English versions use words that we may point to that may read alittle differently in the Greek or Hebrew in meaning.

It say's it here too.
I'm going to look to see if I can copy it with the link doesn't say anything on that page that it can't be copied and shared because you said you don't like to read links.
For me it has to do with Scripture.
It truly does.

Still not sure if that link article can be copied doesn't look like it though.
But there are so many scriptures that can point to what many believe on the consumed burned up destroyed aspect and that it say's who only hath immortality in 1 Timothy 6:6 the King of Kings, and Lord of Lord's.
and Psalm 82:6-7
First talking about God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
That I have said, You are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
God is always in control even of Hell.
Even if we many disagree what the penalty for sin in full is.
I believe destroy means just that and an aeoian fire will last forever age lasting the results.
I just read it different after researching into it but yes Hell is for reals and no matter how long one may burn.
Who wants to go there anyway not even Satan looks forward to that place.
Satans fate.

I believe that is after the Resurrection when we get a body.
He later warned that we should "fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell" (Matthew 10:28).
Plus Satan's active in the world "1 Peter 5:8" so I'm not sure that scripture teaches Satan is in hell at this time either.
And Matthew 23:31-46 final judgement Matthew 25:41..
I believe God holds back until the day of Judgement.
Matthew 13:39-40 Revelation 22:12
I know the Bible says spirit will return to God who gave it and I do believe that but according to the meaning of the Hebrew word for spirit. It is Strongs' word number 7307 "ruwach (roo'-akh) wind; by resemblance breath, i.e. a sensible (or even violent) exhalation."
So exactly what returns to God and what is spirit is the question as the Bible states it took the spirit being breathed into the body which became a living soul.
But that is besides the point because you need both soul and body to be destroyed in hell. And spirit returning to God does not neccesarily mean sent to hell. I think there are things that are open to interpertation so that is why different views on the subject of hell for those who believe it's a real place.
A person can read up on it from both points of view in wording that is literal or symbolic with meaning in figures of speech or being descriptive and directed in meaning to a certain crowd of people back then at the time of the event.
And people that do not see the greek word the ages as only "forever and ever," and "Forever and Ever"--A Poor Translation as there are some students of the Greek who admit that this is not a faithful translation of the Greek words found in the text. And the final eon is that of new heavens and the new earth wherein reigns righteousness (2 Pet. 3:13).
As God is in control of the universe God would also be in control of Hell. I don't believe it is out of his control of how long it may burn. I believe God has a plan of making everything new again.

I believe God could let satan and his angels and people burn forever and ever but I don't think God will according to the word translated forever. People have to research up on all of it themselves and then decide but regardless just burning for one hour would be bad enough all one needs to do is place ones hand on a burning stove and try to keep it there for an hour to decide how bad it really is. I don't take it lightly hell is real. That is for sure.

I don't want to be misunderstood so I will say it again and people can look it up for themselves and decide if they agree or not. I
Quote
I do believe in Hell and I do believe people go there. I do believe the spirit returns to God who gave it and that Spirit goes where God is and I don't believe that is in Hell. I believe after the Judgement a person is sent to Hell they have to be Judged first and Satan is the only Son of Perdition thats already been Judged to perish right now. How long will it burn. As long as it takes with the Judgement 1 year 10 years a thousand years and it seemed to me that you were concerned with that belife as you said on the board it would not be scarry enough and people would not mind going there. The people that would not care anyway don't care how long it burns and all you have to do is place your hand on the stove for 5 minutes and see how many people can or want to do that. I believe that when God creates new heavens and a new earth the former things are passed away and God can destroy body and soul in hell God can terminate anything God wants to that He has that power. That the screaming and burning for billions trillions of years is a wrong translation. I do not follow the Mormons Bible or the J.W Bible I get my info out of the Holy Bible. For me the King James though a good Bible is a Translation and the "only Scriptures Translation" that is "inspired by God" is of the orginal language. Thats why I have The Interlinear Hebrew & Greek & English Bible concorded with The New Strongs Exhausted Concordence of the Bible to study the translation for myself. Plus, I believe that Lazurus is a Parable to Jews of if I raised someone named Lazurus back from the Dead which Jesus did they would not except it and Lazurus being Greek and them beings Jews the rest of the Parable was a message for them if they did not see the light.
