One of the curses on a nation in Deuteronomy is a really terrible one.
It happened to the nation of Israel too at one time.
Will it happen to us too?

Scripture says very clearly...
Then the Lord will fight against those nations who come against Jerusalem.
And which nations does the Bible declare that to be?

God will fight for Israel His people and any nation that turns it's back on Israel is doomed.
God will not let Satan set up his kindom in Jerusalem forever though he will try to as only God's Kingdom will last forever the Antichrist will eventually be destroyed by the brighness of His coming.
The Bible declares that!
Prophecy is not meant to scare us but prepare us.
God gave it to us to know.
So we should know.
