SECRET DRUG TUNNEL CROSSING U.S.-MEXICO BORDER FILLED WITH CONCRETE

The U.S. Border Patrol ordered concrete slurry filling the opening of a drug tunnel stretching four football fields in length that was discovered in November 2011. Agents seized more than 14 tons of marijuana when they discovered this tunnel running underneath the U.S.-Mexico border between warehouses in Tijuana and Otay Mesa industrial park in San Diego, CA. Tunnels are entirely filled and rendered unusable once they are no longer needed by investigators – it is expected to take anywhere from four to eight days.
ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS USE PUBLICITY TO STALL DEPORTATION

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials deny that the publicity of any case affects whether they push for deportation, claiming instead they simply adhere to Obama’s guidelines to focus on convicted criminal illegal immigrants or repeat border-crossers. Immigration attorneys disagree however saying that ICE continues targeting students who would be eligible for amnesty under the DREAM Act (clearly a no-no under the current administration) who drop the deportation orders as soon as the media picks up on it.

David Bennion, a Philadelphia immigration attorney, has even said that he has had clients approached by ICE officers in detention who told them, ‘The only way you’re getting out of this is if the media picks up on it.’ Teams of volunteers have even been organized to snag the media’s attention by using social media networks to alert hundreds of people who are then encouraged to bombard ICE with phone calls. Some members of Congress are even helping so-called DREAMers stall deportation according to Obama’s backdoor amnesty guidelines issued last summer.

Organizers of the media blitz have only one regret and that is that “untold number of illegal immigrants don’t benefit from the strategy.” Steven Camarota, director of research at the Center for Immigration Studies, said the infrastructure being built to publicize deportation cases shows that the outcry is, "not a spontaneous reaction to an individual case, but part of a concerted and organized effort to get the most sympathetic illegal immigrant into the public discourse."
