From 10 years onwards, I've had a love for fruit, particularly oranges. Should I buy a bag of, say, 8, which I do most days, I'll eat them all in under an hour. It's nearly an addiction.
Anyone else experience this?

I have allergic reaction to fruit (which is a pain being vegetarian) but I do have a craving for sugar and sweet things. I get real bad cravings for chocolate and at times I've eaten a half pack of biscuits in one go or 3 bars of chocolates or half a large cake. A couple of years ago I put on a stone in weight after eating all this. I've lost that weight now I've tried to cut down on the sugar stuff, but am not sure weight-loss is a good or a bad thing for mercury toxic people.

I could easily do that with chocolate - and pay BIG time later. I also like oranges, but I don't think I would eat 8. My husband and kids would lock me up! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> They like oranges too much to let me have them all!

From what I've read craving for sweets ad sugars in general could be a sign of candida. I was avoiding fruits for that reason, but as they also aid the immune system I've stopped avoiding them.

Sugar cravings could also be a sign of low serotonin. If levels are low, the body desires carbohydrates in order to increase serotonin.
