Hey guys, Long story short I'm 25 years old and I had 6 rather large amalgams placed in my mouth when i was 15 years old. Not a week went by and somthing very bad happend. A week after my procedure i layed down to go to bed and all of a sudden my entire vision went white and i had an intense ringing in my ears. over the next 10 years these symptoms have lessend a tad bit, I still have ringing in my ears, visual "pins and needles", nervousness, dry mouth/bad breath, body odor, cloudy head and low sexual performance. This is a broad generalization of my symptoms but you get the idea. this whole thing I feel has really put a damper on the last 10 years of my life. Trying to go on dates etc is nearly impossible with these symptoms. I always thought that it must have just been the general anesthesia that caused all of this and hopefully it will get better. Well here I am 10 years later and still having problems, In the last 5 months i have found out about mercury in amalgams and bingo the whole story fell into place. The people who say "there ok" need to be locked away for how many peoples lives they have ruined.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had symptoms similar to mine befor you had your amalgams removed? do you feel back to yourself after removal?
im going to see a specialist naturopath docter in a week, I just hope i will be able to get back to how I was befor I had this poisen unknowingly forced upon me.
Quite the world were living in....
If anyone can share any inspirational stories/any advice I would appreciate it very much, Thanks.

That's too bad. I've heard about many areas getting hit long before 2005. Very frustrating.

Russ, what would you say is the best way to test for mercury? after reading about the danger of DMPS challange tests I want to be sure.
Im going to see specialist to get tested but if he suggests a DMPS challange test I want to be sure to have some knowledge of other testing methods so i can suggest it to him.
Thanks again.

Also Russ, in your opinion, what would you say is the best material to put back in the teeth after amalgam removal?
The more I read the more I think I should just have the teeth pulled and get rid of all foreign materal in my mouth.

Unfortunately, most doctors and naturopaths will recommend a DMSA or DMPS challange. It's a good way to tell if you have mercury in your tissues, but it can hurt people. I've spoken to some.
The best test is a urine porphyrin test, but it's hard to find a doctor who will do it or who knows what it is. This is mentioned in detail in Dr. Huggins book "It's All In Your Head".
I believe the best material use to is a methylcrylate-based filling. It's better than BIS-GMA (estrogenic/cancer-causing). It may be better than porcelain/ceramics because they contain a lot of aluminum, however, there is evidence that this aluminum is tightly bound and does not escape.
Mythycrylate is not perfect, but it's far better than mercury (no comparison) and I think most people won't have any reaction to it. There are dozens (perhaps hundreds) of fillings brands that use methycrylate or acetylcrylate which are very similar.
I would personally opt for fillings instead of having teeth pulled. We should also be careful of dentures which often contain mercury (for red coloring) and cadmium. I have spoken to two people in the past 6 months who's parents got dementia or deafness within weeks have having dentures put in.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info russ, sounds like Mythycrylate are the best, do they have any downsides?

I think the M type fillings leech slowly and aren't good for the kidneys (if I remember right), but again, it's nothing compared to mercury and should produce no visible health effects that I have seen or heard of.
Keep us posted.

The cloudy head (brain-fog) was a big problem from me after receiving 7 fillings. It's a common complaint for every mercury toxic person I have ever spoke to. The rest seems to vary - but alot of things crop up like
* poor immune system (always getting ill) * brain fog * gluten intolerance * feeling more tired than normal. never really feeling refreshed after a good night's sleep
If most of the above tick the box, it could be the mercury. Forget a challenge test, hair analysis is probably the safest. But to be honest - it's going to be a gut instinct thing at the end of the day if you've eliminated all other possibilities.
