Hi Everyone,
I am looking for some recommenations on how to detox the body of heavy metals. I am looking for a natural approach that does not involve DMPS or DMPA. I researched via Google, but there are so many suggestions or options that I am not sure what to do.
I prefer to have someone that has personally detoxed their body of heavy metals or someone that has assisted others with HM Detox.
Any and all replies are appeciated.
Thanks in advance.

The key to mercury detox is sulfur. You can eat high-sulfur foods but should protect your body while you do it. You should use vit C, E and Algin to protect yourself during the detox. I also detoxed with cysteine and chlorella. Here is a link to my story with all the details: http://herballure.com/mmsYou can also detox the brain/CNS with ALAYou can also stimulate your natural glutathione production with NACI would strongly suggest that you read this article for warnings about using cilantro correctly: http://urlbam.com/ha/M006ZI hope this helps. If you have any more questions, let me know.

Thank you for the reply Russ. I had responded earlier, but I think maybe it didn't post.
I also have candida overgrowth and adrenal fatigue. Should I be addressing the HM Detox first or all these issues at once?
Is the hair analysis a legitamit test for heavy metals?
Thanks
Eddie

I personally would address them together. Then, the more the mercury issues gets resolved, you can reduce your efforts to overcome the other issues. Why? Because getting the mercury out takes time and you don't need to live these issues in the mean time.
Hair analysis... yes, but it's complicated.
Hair tests are basically core samples of a blood tests. Whatever is in the blood is going to end up in the hair over time.
Low mercury in the blood or hair is not an indicator of no-mercury-toxicity. People who don't expel mercury retain it and eventually get sick. These people typically have lower blood mercury (because it's not being mobilized) and therefore lower hair mercury. So, it's very counter intuitive.
More important would be to check for indicators like high calcium or low zinc.
A more authoritative mercury test is the urine porphyrin test.

Hi Russ,
Thanks for the reply. I did have a hair analyis a while back and my calcium levels were way way out of range. I don't have those numbers at the moment but I can get them. Thanks again.

I forgot to mention that I drank some chlorophyll yesterday. I added a teaspoon of chlorophyll with lemon juice in a large glass of water. I got a headache within a few hours and still have it. Any idea what it might be? I bought it because I read it's a good product for HM Detox. Any comments are appreciated.
Thanks,
Eddie

See if the product contains sugar. You may want to eat protein and see if it goes away.
You may have difficulty processing copper. I drink it daily and have no problems (actually, just had a sip). You may want to take it slow or find out if you have difficulty with copper. You may also want to wait until you've detoxed mercury for 3 to 6 months first. Then you may handle it better.

The problem with the likes of 'natural' chelation therapies is that you can't manage doses properly. I would stay clear of chlorella - too many bad stories with it.
You can use ALA to chelate on. I would also recommend sauna to get a good sweat going 3 times a week. I see no reason why you can't use DMSA alongside it. According to Cutler - using DMSA alongside ALA will improve your recovery time by 30-40%.
I'm using ALA and DMSA.
