Hi Shelia, (((( Smiles )))
Be glad that you have no gold in your teeth with mercury as..
I know people who do just that. My husband went to a regular dentist and had crowns put on after taking out the mercury fillings though I can still see some discoloration or maybe left over fillings through his crowns.
Mercury over the years can cause staining discoloration too in your teeth so not quite sure what it is for him...
But it sounds like a good idea as Russ brought up to replace in your body what mercury takes out like magnesium etc...
I have 8 big ones in my teeth of now and said to the dentist..
I do not want crowns now but want them filled instead bonded together and he said he could do that as my teeth seem's good enough taken care of in good shape of now.
Plus if I ever do have to get crowns want them over fixed filled better teeth and none over old mercury fillings that have cracks or is in bad shape in the teeth.
It has to be refilled anyway they are old fillings and not in good shape, another dentist told me that awhile back.
So, I think if my teeth are strong now maybe because..
I take lots of calcium but mostly magnesium swisk with oil of oregano in my mouth but have some receeding which I believe is caused by the mercury in my mouth..
But want a good base put in first then "IF" I need crowns later the base will be good. My teeth will be fixed.
Sorry you have gone through what you have gone through everybody reacts differently to mercury as my husband had them taken out by a regular dentist and he seemed to do O.K. with it maybe compared to another but one never knows how it may be effecting him internally.
But Chunking it out sounds good may be better for the teeth and less drilling and for me that's good!
It's terrible that they put in mercury in the first place but the supplemental health way for you may be good to do if nothing else.
Crowns can crack though and need to be replaced over time.
My husband has had to have a few replaced.
Nothing lasts forever right! We just do the best we can.
This is an interesting site. Russ may have placed it on the board somewhere else but want to save it to read it all later.
