The one man I trusted with my own teeth lived in Calif. So I would fly out there to get my dental work done, and told him "If you ever want to come and work with me, the door is wide open." That was 10 years ago.

Several months I got a call from him and he said, "Dr. Behm, I'm coming out."    

I am very happy to announce Dr. Kirk Youngman, formerly of northern California is now my associate here in Clearwater. Many of you have already met him and he is a welcome addition by all of us.

I love this man and his wonderful wife, Karilyn, whom you may have seen in the office recently.

One of the reasons I'm so happy is that Dr. Youngman and I see eye to eye on the subjects of biological and neuromuscular dentistry. As his patient, I can truly attest to not only his excellence from the viewpoint of a fellow dentist, but also as a patient..

I am also happy that I have someone to share the workload with.  We are always so busy, I am running all day, so this will be much needed help, and we can give you faster service. 

Needless to say, he is an accomplished dentist, actually surpasses me in knowledge in a few areas. He had a holistic practice in northern California, New Era Dentistry, for 18 years, and has advanced certificates from the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), where he has been training since 1986.

LVI is where I have been getting much of my post-graduate training in neuromuscular dentistry for the last 5 yrs, a crucial area of the structural/orthopedic aspect of dentistry.

A great deal of planning goes into a successful case

We have found this advanced training to have significant impact on the success of our dentistry, and how it relates to biological dentistry. Dentistry is now much more than the "drill and fill" of the past. Especially in a practice as ours, there exist many steps to get the outcome we can all be proud of. 
 

Dr. Youngman and I have traveled much the same professional path over our careers, he gaining more experience in the structural aspects, while my strengths are more in biological dentistry.

Dr. Youngman has been mercury-free since 1994. He had a very successful and sought after practice, his engaging personal and chairside manner earned him a lot of loyalty. 

We have taken many of the same classes and seminars over the years, and talked many times about his joining my practice. Due to these common interests, I have actually been adamant he come and join us for some time.

 He has come to visit several times over the years and attended courses that I recommended on biological dental principles. I knew he was the right man to help me deal with the demand for our type of dentistry. He has been an active member in the same biological dental organizations I belong to, and we have attended many meetings together.
 

As you know, our practice here is quite unique in our non-toxic and biological approach to dental care, and as a result many of you come from a significant distance to see us and we are quite appreciative and proud that you trust us to that degree. 
 

As Dr. Youngman had a similar reputation in his area, he is very open to duplicate the techniques I use in our practice so we can be seamless in our delivery of care. To be perfectly honest, there is much my team and I are looking forward to learn from him to enhance our delivery to all of you to a much higher degree.

This practice has been a lot for one dentist to handle, so having the two of us here will not only make us more efficient and productive (lets define that as "on time"), but it should be a lot more fun, enabling the both of us to service your dental needs for many years to come.
