I get the cassia dirt cheap. The dollar store has 4 ounce containers. This is labeled cinnamon, but I think it is cassia, even though I really don't know how to tell the difference. For real cinnamon, I might have to go to a gourmet store and pay $5 for one ounce. Some supermarkets might have real cinnamon, but also perhaps at around $5 for one ounce. I was looking for turmeric in supermarkets and it was something like $5 for one ounce. I bought it in a spice store for $6 or $7 a pound. Perhaps that spice store might have real cinnamon, but I am pretty sure it will be quite a bit over $4 a pound.
